Very interesting way to describe how complicated borders can be.

Harrison Ford is as good as always, well worth seeing, but could be disturbing for some. While not an action movie, it does keep you on the edge of your seat. This is not a family movie.

Gripping. Thought provoking. Heart wrenching. And utterly realistic story lines, not only for the U. S. It deserves a 9 for acting and directing, but I subtracted one point for originality because it reminded me so much of the unbeatably good film, Crash.

A great film. Lots of action courtesy of H. Ford with a strong supporting cast. A real, gutsy no nonsense review of American society after 9/11. I enjoyed it immensely.

Harrison Ford is terrific and really the whole cast is. A very thought provoking film especially in these hard times.

One of the best movies ever watched! No judgemental look towards immigrants and cops. Facing the reality in today's society it's not easy, but well-done guys.

It's amazing what human beings will do to sell their souls, and then try to get back at the devil they sold their soul to, who happens to just be another person who sold their soul to the real devil. The devil gets his cake and eats it too. You have to see this to know what I am talking about but this only refers to one of the many situations where folks are doing whatever they can to enter the United States. And of course it was great to see what those who were already privileged to be in the U. S. would to sabotage that great privilege. Harrison Ford looks to me like he is just walking through his scenes and I am not sure if he is into it. In other words he looks like he has an upset stomach and somehow the facial expression works for his character. Ray Liotta is his natural self and is an underated actor who should be on the A-list. The story is a bit of a heartbreak especially for one misunderstood character. I think that will be the one to stand out in most people's minds. On that note I just changed my rating from a 6 to a 7.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Harrison Ford is at his most 'ironic and iconic' (as one critic put it) He is certainly understated: the good cop with the heart of gold. The immigration tales are variously sordid, grim and desperate. There are a few sincere notes but they quickly dissolve into mawkish and trite cliches. The convention of interweaving stories doesn't quite work and we are left with a sense of 'So what? '. The final pinnacle scene conferring naturalization is characteristically grandiose and smarmy. Murkans love their huge flags with cops everwhere. The only redeeming element in this inflated epic is Alice Eves... delightful eye candy.

Very disturbing. Tells a fantastic story. It's the type of movie that keeps you thinking days later.
