To be fair. I went with a girlfriend. I would not have gone to see it otherwise... having said that. It was informative enough that I enjoyed it (a bit)

This movie made me actually LIKE fashion. A fascinating glimpse into the lives of several successful fasion professionals.

Much more entertaining than I thought it was going to be. Wintour was surprisingly self-deprecating at times (not often) and showed herself to be human during a scene with her daughter (the only person whose opinion she asked for during the whole movie)

Great insight into what it takes to publish a magazine but I was hoping to see more of Anna Wintour's legendary nastiness. The viewer can tell that she had full control over this film.

Somewhat disappointed that Anna seemed to constantly be censoring herself a type of controlled anger/frustration. Thoroughly enjoyed Grace's wit and fearless reaction to Anna's criticism although her emotions were all very real. Agree that some insight into why this edition was the best ever would have been helpful. Recommend movie just to see Grace at work - Tina.

I was expecting a more in-depth film about what makes the September Issue so special. But it's simply the camera tagging along Anna Wintour, wielding her huge fashion influence (questionable to say the least) over fashion designers to fashion retailers, and Grace Coddington (thank god, she was the only one who gave some real perspective on the fashion magazine industry) The movie gave more dimension to Anna's personality, but she herself can be seen as censoring herself and having difficulty being comfortable in front of the camera. It's apparent that the true content end of the September issue didn't add up to much more than what, 30 pages? And that 2007 issue was over 700 pages long! So what made it so special? They don't even say! RJ Cutler could've easily interviewed others about their thoughts about the September issue, but he only stuck around the Vogue editorial team throughout, thus missing out on some objective perspective of the fashion industry. This movie is nothing more than a flattering film of an already overly self-flattering industry. A disappointment.

Hugely enjoyable. Dispels the myth that Anna Wintour is cold and heartless. She's just busy, and smart, and decisive. The way an editor should be.

VOGUE = Fashion and whether you like fashion or not you will be hypnotized by this movie and its great behind-the-scenes looks at putting together the most important monthly issue of this famous magazine.
