I hated it because it just kept showing them walking and walking and it didn't have any exciting parts in it but if I made a movie everyone would be at the movies going to see it and they would be saying "its a must see movie!".

I really like the fact that Andrew Bolt looks just like Kenneth Branagh, portraying A. O. Neville the Chief Protector of Aborigines, that growth and all on his face. No wonder Bolt denies the stolen generation.

A truly moving and tragic film. Often times I found myself wanting to cheer the girls on as they trudged alone through the outback. An excellent story of friendship, bravery, and courage. The children didn't show much expression, but it seems quite appropriate given their situation and the dread and shock they were facing. The film was overall very educational, emotional and powerful. See it if you have the chance.

Great movie on a underwritten topic. This true story picture is a testament as to how NOT to go about cultural intergration. They could have captured more of the Aboriginal culture. I'd encourage anyone who's a likes a good story about determination to watch. Wish I would have seen it in the theatre to experience the scenery and the surround sound that others have commented on.

It show you that the will of 3 little girls that want to get home can get them a long way. It was a good movie.

This movie is very touching. It is a true story which shows a lot of Australian history. I would recommend this movie to everyone! At first I did not want to go and see it, but then after I left the cinema, I realised that it is one of the best movies I saw in a while! Two thumbs up!

I saw it against my will and against my will I liked it. A movie you just can't keep your eyes off of.

I read the book prior to seeing the movie and was unsure how I'd like the movie. I rarely enjoy movies that are made from books as the movies usually leave out so much it's hard to get a grip of the actual story being told. This movie was different, it was very fluid with following the book. Excellent cinematography and the acting was superb for relative unknowns. I think the only people who wouldn't like this movie are those who enjoy fluff flicks and not true movie making - this is true movie making.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] The way the movie was filmed made me feel I was going along with the 3 girls. Especially when Molly and Daisy collapsed on the ground I was like squinting because I felt like I was with them (in a way, you know what I mean =D) Very realistic.

This movie is great and the three girls acting is fantastic. The picture inspired me to read the book too which delivers a little more background information. The intense suffering the three have gone through during their long walk home (hunger, fear, rain, infected wounds on the legs of all three of them) could have been displayed more intense to really make the viewer feel how hard this journey must have been. But anyhow, this movie must touch every viewer deep inside and shows once more how cruel human beings are towards their own species.

What a load of hoarse crap. These girls had no idea what they were doing. We were doing the best for those blacks. Ungraetful girls!

This was definitely one of the best pictures of the year. The three young ladies carried the film and were heartbreaking. Definitely a must see.

I thought this movie was amazing! It was full of adventure. This movie taugh me more about the trib. Molly was an amazing girl. I couldn't believe she was only two years older than me when she ran away from the camp. Like I said before this movie was amazing and diserves some grammies. I would go see that movie again if I could. I can't wait tell it cames out on video!

The cinematography is extraordinary and the sound team takes full advantage of stereo-surround sound. In other words, be sure to see it in the theatre if you plan on watching it. It is a wonderful tale. My only complaint is that I think the director didn't challenge the children to act. They seem to lack emotion. I think he wanted to stay far and away from creating three Anikan Skywalkers. Enjoy otherwise!

I was incredibly moved by this film, especially upon learning the further tragedies endured by Molly Craig. The children's performances are the heart of this movie. They are simply wonderful to watch. Their journey is awe inspiring when you consider that the hardships we see onscreen must be just a fraction of what they really encountered. Never having been to Australia, it was also lovely to get a visual taste of their countryside. I don't imagine the producers had a huge budget to work with so considering the small scale of the movie, it's very well done; never preachy but always riveting.

Wonderfully illustrative of the resilience of the human spirit and the prfound prevasiveness of "good works" for "poor natives" going bad. Iam richer for having seen it.

I loved this film. A history lesson that delivered a punch to the gut. Another example of man's inhumanity to man. I don't know that the actors were acting - it seems to me they may have been reacting to a gross injustice that is a part of their history. An amazing story that needs to be seen..

A moving story, one that doesn't rely on car chases or gun fights. As an added bonus, you get a score by Peter Gabriel.

A low budget australian movies based on an authentic story (I. E. not just the framework) that is the acting is not too convincing, but this is not the important thing here. If you have any interest in australia and australian spirit off the tourist track - you see this.

I am 17 and I went to see this movie with my Society and Culture class at school for an excursion to learn more about Australian hertitage. I was touched by this wonderful movie. It is so realistic and I think this movie is suited for anyone, of any country and of any age. Us Australians should know about our history, and this film brings it about perfectly. It made me so sad and I think the children actors in it were wonderful! This is a must see and may everyone be as moved as I was.

A very good film. Don't go in expecting glitz, glamour and gun wars and you'll enjoy it. It's gritty, realistic and it's honesty and frankness is touching. You can't help but be moved by the tragic story and it's refreshing to see a fact based film that hasn't been re-vamped by Hollywood to sell more tickets. It's basic and sometimes it's even crude but it's always captivating.

Very moving. Go see it to receive a better understanding of what Aboriginal people in Canada have endured, as well. Like the Aborigines, Aboriginal people in Canada are still dealing with the effects of being stolen away and forced to attend Residential Schools.

The reviewer above who called this film "fit for the gutter" obviously needs a full 7 reels of explosions and at least two or three car chases to hold his attentinon. Rabbit Proof Fence is very well done, not sentimental, and very moving.

An historical moment in Australian politics. It describes the treatment of aboriginal by the british. Some societies have often treated other societies in a terrible way in the name of progress when in fact it was just for their own selfish interest. This movie is an example of this. It's a nice movie and in some way original. See the video.
