Not your standard movie, but a very good look into human relationships.

I saw this movie twice, and I still dont understand it fully... Very complex scenarios, actors are good, but im fed up of breaking my head over it, so I dont think I'll watch it again.

What a load of old bollocks! Utter nonsense of a plot, don't waste your time. An incredible waste of talent, style & resources. I watched it on a British national tv station on 7/sep/03.

This was the best movie I ever saw in my life, it is my very favorite. I thought the movie was a masterpeace. And those who can't open there minds to understand it should not have a comment.

I was in this movie, I played the part of Lucy. Let me tell you that this was one of the worst movies I have ever seen not to mention been in. It was horrible! I regret ever going to see it and I don't even own the movie! It was disgusting, terrible story line and I would give it a -1 out of 10.

Quite a special movie, one of the few that actually tries to be above the rest.

I like this movie on it's atmosphere. And I like hero and heroine.

Look, I went to the première of this nasty bit of film when everyone was supposed to be excited about seeing it. I won the tickets and hadn't heard a thing about it ahead of time, so I had NO expectations. At the conclusion of the glitzy première, the audience booed and I joined in. Those who try to find art in this movie need to shake their heads and realize that the emperor just isn't wearing any clothes. It's easy to say that those who don't like it don't have any brains, that's what elitists always do. There is very little that is redeeming about this movie. I'd give it a 2 just because of how hard the actors had to work to keep tomatoes from being thrown at the screen.

It took me several viewings to begin to understand but I could not stop trying. It was completely intriguing and thought-provoking. I loved it and will probably watch it several more times too!

Rented this dud last night. Thankfully, with the exception of kd lang (who will hopefully stick to singing from here on), this movie won't seriously damage the careers of Judd, McGregor, Bujold et al. But the writer/director sure made a movie that, on a scale of 1-10, took off slowly to a 2 by the one-third mark, slid inexorably to a 1 and finished at a minus 2. What a drag!

A Classic! Most people rating the movie obviously didn't get it. They only took the face value of the movie and stared at it with their two remaining brain cells. Movies like this are rare, so Anyone that's not mentally challenged should see it and enjoy the good cinematography and even better soundtrack. Ewan McGregor's acting isn't good, but Ashley Judd and Jason Priestly make up for it. A definite DVD buy! Excellent movie. The average rating of 3.5 shows how most people are sheep and only like watching box office hits. Sheep!!

[...] Just make sure you have a brain somewhere inside of you, expect nothing from this film, then go rent it. It is slow, intense, complete and showcases VERY solid acting from people who are willing to take a risk. Be like them, you will probably enjoy the experience. This film will not change history, but it tells a fascinating one.

This is absolutely and honestly the worst movie I have ever seen in the theatre (and possibly over all). I phoned Silver City the next day (I saw the late show and everyone was gone when it finally ended) and demanded my money back and got it. The "obsession" theme doesn't work because the script is so abstract and confusing and boring and uninteresting that it doesn't offer anything into any character's psyche. The only people who would "claim" to call this a great film are those phoney artistic wannabes who think that if something is vague or hard to understand then it is also brilliant. Fellini and Greenway - these men made confusing films... but great ones. TRYING to be purposely vague seems so forced. Eye Of The Beholder is crap. I wish I could rate it 0/10.

Can't believe an intelligent girl like Ashly Judd takes such a stupid script. She can also do herself a big favour by not taking off her clothes for her next movie. What a stupid waste-of-time-and-money movie. Lisen! go see it and come back here to vet your anger.

This is one of the WORST movies I have seen in ten years and I have seen a few. BOOOOO! to the producer. There is absolutely no point in seeing this movie. Waste of time and waste of money.

What a stupid movie!!! Waste of money to go to see an unlikely story like this!! Though a good performance of Ewan Mcgregor and Ashley Judd, the story was poor and very, very unlikely!!!

There are some places in the human mind that are better left undisturbed. Ossession. Jealousy. Fanaticism. This movie speaks to those who have gone there but have never quite recuperated from the experience. A breathtaking journey through one man's psychosis.

This is perhaps one of the worst films I have seen. Ther was no decent plot, any climax or any interesting about this film except the fact when it ended, the torture this film made me endure was over.

I really liked this movie. I can't quite figure out why people didn't enjoy it, by I can only conclude that they are turned off by the concept of obsession. That's what the film is about, on multiple levels and it was worth the full price I paid to see it.

The movie was 'occupying' to say the least, save this one for the 5$ movie nights though, the plot builds up to be quite interesting, and subsequently gets more farfetched by the moment. The plot actually seems interesting and makes some sense until things start getting completely psychotic... I suppose it makes you 'think' about who's the strange one, Judd or McGregor, but it just ends up being weird. The ending (despite the irony) does not fit the film, nor does about half the other events that happen throughout the movie, although points to Jason Priestly for playing an interesting (Tylor Durton of Fight Club type) 'bad guy'...

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This movie is not good, even if you don't have to pay, as in my case. Here's how I would describe it to someone who has not seen it. Plot as follows: Girl is a serial killer out for men's money (She sleeps with them and kills them), Guy (Secret Agent) falls in love with Girl, Guy follows girl all around the U.S. on her killing spree, and just as she suspects Guy of following her and caring she kills herself (also fillers of the plot are Guy's hallucinations and her psychological problems from childhood). I guess I would describe it as very (wait) make that VERY forgettable. After the movie, my friend and I just looked at each other then at the ground, wondering why we even bothered. Save your money and your friend's and watch something else.

Someone should send this director to film school!!! The storyline was so stretched and by the end of the film, you still could not relate to any of the characters. I have to stop going to these American movies!

This was THE WORST movie we have ever seen. We found out about this movie on the internet but did not read the reviews... Man, what a mistake that was not to read the review. When we did read the reviews, after the fact, everyone had already said everything we wanted to say (except for the 1% who thought they liked it of course, I would like to see if they saw the same movie that I went to) I brought my boyfriend out to our first movie and just happened to pick the worst movie ever. Next time I WILL read the reviews BEFORE NOT AFTER the movie.

This is a movie about nothing. And I don't mean that in a quirky theatre of the absurd sense. No, this film doesn't have a pulse ... that nobody rioted after having shelled out ten clams to watch such drivel amazes me. Really, that this film is even shown is only proof that film-goers have become a passive bunch, willing to take any two-hour piece of rubbish up any old orifi. A short synopsis: this is a story about smoking, stalking, the love of one man for his daughter chanelled through a psycho killer, and smoking. Also, kd lang ably showed us why she doesn't act more often. Avoid like the plague.

Yes, well I went in not expecting ANYTHING after reading what the people had written about this movie... I had to push myself to go. But what a beautifully, artistically directed film! The actors are great! The way the scenes link to one another is remarkable... All in all, this movie deserves at least an 8. I guess the younger crowd just couldn't see the psychological storyline in it... One thing though. Why is it listed as a comedy/suspence? Nothing funny about it...

I only wish I had found this sight before I went to see this movie. What a waste! You keep waiting for the plot to take an interesting twist, but it never does. To top it off the ending was disappointing to say the least. I wouldn't even recommend it as a rental!

I really enjoyed the movie, it entertained me. The storyline was interesting, being different than the current batch being released. I went into the movie hoping for a good story, so didn't come out dissapointed. I pity the poor people that try to see too much into a movie, forcing themselves to dislike a movie for sorry reasons. More and more I'm beginning to stop looking at these low ratings on this site. Stephane.

The first 30 minutes is intriguing. Ashey Judd is nice eye candy but then the movie becomes almost unbearable. The plot line is so far fetched it's laughable. As a viewer, you aren't interested in the outcome of the movie.

The movie was so boring. The story was so out of place, you couldn't even follow why stuff were happening. Anyways, you go see it (I really think it's a waste of money) and you decide.

It started out being quite intriging, but quickly exposed the overall thinness of the plot. It just seemed to peter along until the writers ran out of ideas and the movie stuttered to a halt. The few interesting ideas that were brought to light could in no way make this meandering piece of driftwood worth taking up my time.

This movie sucks, big time. After two hours sitting in the theater, I still havn't the slightest idea what was it all about. Undoutedly, the experience was disastrously agonizing. Audience constantly mourned with pain. I suggest you not to spend a dime on this one, don't even rent the video. Gee, I consider myself stupid spending two hours on this shamful film.
