For Love of the Game is one of my all time favorite movies. I found it incredibly romantic, a tale of true love, but not a love without its ups and downs.

A good baseball film, and surprisingly something the girls could enjoy as well! They really brought out gender differences in this film and it was amusing how all the women in the theatre would be gasping at the stupid things Billy would say and just about every guy would think like Billy and not have a clue what he did. The movie kept me interested till the end! Well worth it!

A very passionnate film that portrays the life of a charasmatic person. It shows us the good and bad of being a professional baseball player. Very well directed, with a great cast, and great sound effects when Billy Chapel is on the mound. A moving, entertaining and sequential film that makes the audience attentive to every snapshot of the film. A film of mixed emotions.

Boring as you-know-what. I've yet to meet anyone who managed to sit through the whole thing without falling asleep. And predictable to boot.

A good movie, if not a little predictable. It never fails to amaze me how many movies a man can make, and virtually, in every one, play the same role, without much variation. It is a good thing that he plays the role so well, Costner that is, or he wouldn't be getting the paychecks that he is. All around, a good movie. Nothing beyond what I expected it to be, and not all that different, though with a different bend, that "Message in a Bottle" where he also plays a man who finds it hard to come to terms with relationships, and fears opening up, which would put him in an emotionally compromising position. I recommend this movie for anyone going on a date. You men will love it as much as you dates.
