The best feel-good movie I have seen in a long time! Fantastic cast!!! Great musical numbers, fast moving storyline, terrific costumes and beautiful scenery. Believeable, funny, touching, romantic, dramatic, nostalgic - has all the elements of great entertainment! Going to see it again in the theatre and will buy it as soon as it comes out on video!

I thought this was the best musical ever. It was colourful and exciting. ABBA music made the movie so much fun.

Very enjoyable, good cast, great music. Worth seeing more than once. Julie Walters and Christine Baransky were excellent in their supporting roles. Pierce Brosnan was out of his element, but he's such a hunk - who cares?

Wow, not my cup of tea. I thought "Hairspray" with John Travolta was a much better musical.

This movie was unbelievably amazing! The songs were incredibly catchy, toe-tapping beats, that made me want to jump up and down and sing my lungs out. Being a HUGE Colin Firth fan, this film was really enjoyable. The whole cast sang wonderfully. And for all of those that love the feel-good, ultimate cheesy movies, I HIGHLY recommend seeing Mama Mia!

While old-fashioned musicals are not everybody's cup of tea, this is such a delightful movie that it should not be missed by those of us who were Abba fans. Even if you, like me, were not a fan but found the tunes hummable and happy-making. The story line is predictable but is kept moving along by the fine acting of the three woman: Meryl Streep, whose singing is quite surprisingly lovely (who knew she once aspired to be an opera singer? ); Julie Walters whom I have loved since Educating Rita; and Christine Baransk, who for me was the reason to watch "Sybil." The men were okay except for poor Pierce Brosnan. He was wooden and his singing appalling. He was so good as the suave Remington Steele and could not make the switch from urbane to romantic. Amanda Seyfried was very sweet as Sophie, but I think our very own Anna Madgett (for those who saw the Toronto production) was better: she offered us a broader character and was perhaps even vocally better. The music, the frivolity, the amazing risks Streep takes and wins, all made this a most pleasant movie. Streep has a good chance at the Oscar. In the words of Abba," Take a chance on me!" - the movie, that is.

A great movie for a mood lifter and to have a relaxing evening with. I went right out and bought the soundtrack and can't wait for the video. You honestly felt like the actors brought you into the fun of making the movie, really wish I'd been there during the dance scenes on the docks.

I liked the show but I think I heard too much hype that it was a bit of a let down. I LOVED Meryl Streep's friends. They were absolutely fabulous and so funny!

Terrific movie, with great cast! Would have never liked ABBA before this movie and although the actors are definitely not singers... they are very well cast in their parts and it is enjoyable from beginning through to the end credits! Be sure to watch those!! I've seen it twice!

This was one of the best if not the best movies I've seen this year. There is something for everyone: romance, laughter, music. It makes you feel happy.

I loved this movie and have seen it a couple of times with my daughter. I especially love the cast, I am a big fan of Julie Walters. Very funny in parts, poignant in others a great feelgood movie, if you get a chance to go to a sing-a-long, do so, as it adds to the fun.

A must watch for those who were brought up in the Abba period. It was a fun movie bring back much nostalgia with the familiar tines. Unfortunately, the singing was a total letdown and the music quality was bad. Could have been a great movie.

I'm a hetero guy, so you can guess I went to see this movie on a date. :) Well, I was pleasantly surprised. There were some Abba songs I didn't know, and some I knew. All fit very well into the story. It almost seems the songs were written for the movie! The voices are the actors' so don't expect too much there, but still, I enjoyed myself.
