Not what we expect from movies. In this one there are no heroes, but all are heroes. Wondrous.

If you have ever wondered why anybody would be so foolish as to fly in a hang glider, then go and see this picture, your question will be answered. Not a documentary, as the Attenborough films are, but just a visual delight that will leave you wondering "how did they film that? " The soundtrack detracts, unless you're a fan of europop, and the film would have been better without it. That is my only negative. And, this is a must see on the big screen too, do NOT wait for the video!

What an amazing movie. I am full of admiration for the photographers, and for the people who had the vision to make this movie.

I saw the movie at the West Edmonton Mall while holidaying in Alberta. It brought a whole range of emotion out of me. It was breathtaking, painful, awe inspiring, magical, refreshing, alarming, fun, informative and probably more. Every school and university student should see it. Maybe then, we might have hope for the future of birds, and all wildlife not to mention mankind. More movies of this sort are needed. Thankyou,.

Well after reading the reviews here, I was inspired to go see this bird movie. I got myself a KINGCAN of beer and a couple sticks of beef jerkey(I now have a zit today) and headed to the theatre. The camera angles and lenses were truly perfect. (How do they do that?) Besides the pure magical grace of watching birds fly from the same point of view as them, and watching them migrate with them, I also loved seeing other parts of the geograpghical globe that keeps spinning around that we call earth. The only gripe I would say was a weak soundtrack. Also, the (bird dying in sludge) was sad. I would have put the camera down and helped the little guy out of that man made hell hole. All in all... a nice flick. It left me feeling ashamed about the human condition.

Hypnotic and enchanting, the footage in this film is amazing- if you start to think about how it could have been shot, you'll be puzzled for days. The characters of the birds come through so strongly, and you realize what astounding animals they are.

This movie prooves that Birds have the best view of the world up in the heavens. Such a beautiful film about these amazing creatures and their way of life and survival and stunning camera work. The film makers have captured a treasure that will satisfy all nature lovers for generations to come.

I just saw Winged Migration and the film was brillantly done. It had a hypnotic effect on me, with the camera angles, making me feel as though I was "airbound" with the birds. I left with a deep sense of marvel with nature and the uniqueness of so many bird species.

After a long day, I had second thoughts about seeing the movie and wondered whether or not I would stay awake through it. In the first 10 minutes, I was totally "enchanted" and realized this movie was not one to be missed due to my catching a nap. Yet, at the same time it had a hypnotic effect on me and was the first film to put me in the air unihibited and oblivious to the activities on land------like a dream. The musical score was most complementary.

The movie is inspirational, and gives a valuable lesson. As St. Francis said, the birds are God's Beloved Creatures, and are Sacred beings and have beautiful souls. Thank you for a wonderful film. God Bless.

Yes indeed this is great photography!.. how did they get those shots... it felt like I was flying with the birds. However, I felt the film lacked a bit of a central theme and jumped from one species to another in a somewhat random manner which became a bit repetitive... well worth watching though.

The cinematography is breathtaking. Each movement a piece of artwork... A masterpiece in motion. I was in awe that a documentary could be so artistic and appeal so to the senses. I saw it while in San Diego and am desperately trying to find where is playing on the East Coast so I can expose my friends here to this visual delight. I could watch it again and again. Just Brilliant!

A fascinating film. One need not be a bird watcher to be captivated by this film. The scenery as well as the birds is beautiful.

Breathtaking footage. Brutal depictions of the hardships that migratory birds face every day. One hazzard I was looking forward to seeing was the windfarms in S. California. Acres of enormous windwills fill the valleys that, thanks to Bernoulli's Principal, are filled with concentrated wind. Birds take advantage of the tremendous energy-saving tailwinds these provide, often to meet thier end agains a 20-foot carbon-fibre windmill blade.

A masterpiece of it's kind. I will now have more respect for migrating birds, and much less for the hunters.

Wow! When I think of all of the work that went into making this movie it is unbelievable. Over three years on all continents. In fact, there is a surreal scene of birds flying past the World Trade Centre in New York. A relaxing movie with amazing cinematography that allows you to dream and soar like the birds. You will have a new respect for birds after leaving the theatre!

Amazing. I still don't know how they filmed this, but it is a work of art. I can't believe I sat spellbound watching birds fly north and south, feeling anguish and sorrow, anger and amusement. Truly one of the most unique movies I have ever witnessed. A thing of beauty.

I was hesitant to see this movie because I didn't think that a movie lasting an hour and a half on the topic of birds could be too enjoyable. I was truly mistaken. The cinematography was so magnificent that you actually feel as if you are a bird migrating with the rest of the flock. I recommend this film to anyone who wants to see the film of a lifetime.
