Well I have to say the plot is a little cheesy but it is to my liking and I like the cast especially since Sean William Scott is in it paired with Chow Yun-Fat and Jaime King the film has action and humor a nice blend of both. Most of the action is pretty fake looking but entertains none-the less, it functions like most hong kong action films and the scenery is beautiful. All in all a good popcorn action flick worth seeing but don't go out of your way to do so cause it's okay not great.

Seann William Scott made this movie so great. Chow Yun Fat has the cool moves as well. Together, they make a great movie.

The jokes are pretty dumb but really funny. This movie will be more enjoyed from a young audience. A pretty fun movie.

I found this movie to be quite delightful. I went in with no expectations and without comparing it to Matrix or anything other movie. On it's own, it is quite a good film. I enjoyed the acting, and the humour and seriousness, the character developement, and the story, runs along smoothly for the most part, and blends well. I won't say it's the best I've ever seen, but it still ranks pretty high in my mind, and I enjoyed the experiance. I found it to be quite clever in some parts of the story. I would recommend this film to almost everyone. :)

I've seen worse, but parts of this movie were so bad, so predicatable and so stereotypical, that it was hard not to cringe in sympathy for Chow Yun Fat trapped in this hideously overwrought farce. Fire your agent. It was barely worth the 50 cents I spent on admission.

Nothing's too special in this movie, but it's still a good one. Actually I think the bullet part is better than Matrix.

Go see it! You'll like it... I know I did. It is kind of a low budget as compared to some movie that go over the top, but is otherwise an enjoyable and of course a must see if you are a Chow Yun fat fan. Is based on a comic book series FYI. I'm giving it a six point five and a big thumbs up!

Excellent. Chow Yun-Fat at his best! A very close portrail of Tibetan Buddhism and an somewhat close to an enlightened monk!

Wonderful action film, with a touch of humour that made it all the more fun. Chow Yun Fat is terrific and Seann's performance was also very good. If you liked Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, you're going to love Bulletproof Monk.

Not a bad movie. I noticed alot of reviewers here saying it was like the matrix... obviously not knowing the matrix itself is a rip-off. Hong Kong action has been doing that for decades. It doesn't detract from this movie at all though. In fact the action is the only thing worth watching except for possibly the scenes with Chow Yun Fat and Stiffler. Those are surprisingly entertaining. Rent it.

A movie that does not entertain, illustrate or even make you laugh: a waste of time in a ridiculous movie. I would like to get my money back.

Worth watching when it comes out on tv. Pretty mindless entertainment. The bad guys aren't interesting, but the two lead actors both have decent charisma, which makes this exercise in special effects an ok watch. Easy to forget as soon as you walk out the door.

The movie was OK. I expected a lot more from this movie. This was supposed to be a martial art movie but where were the martial art scenes? A couple of them here and there:(I was disappointed. Also, the editing was badly done.

I just went to see this movie because of the cute guy. But I don't like him in this movie, I like him in american pie... anyway... another reason why I don't like this movie very much is, since the MATRIX, everybody wants to do the same or similar things, but they will never do an excellent movie like the MATRIX. So don't even try, It's not worth the money and the time..

Ok I went to see Chow yun fat. Yeah, I know, I'm stupid. The movie sucked all the way. It is as authentic as egg rolls and fortune cookies. So tired of those prefabricated wisdom catch phrase. There is thing that we are willing to believe, but, everything in that movie is so unrealistic that my heart were pumping each time I notice stupid thing. As I said, I'm stupid.

I can't believe I actually looked forward to see this movie~! After I watched the trailer, I expect it to be funny with some slapstick humor and great action scenes. NO. The ancient scroll concept is cliche and the evil nazi thing is hard to believe. You see all the best parts in trailer, all the best funny dialogues. Weird techonology, bad setting, bad lighting. I mean, do the producers think all those bad guys live in sewers, ditches, underground ghettos? If they're so scared of being discovered, then why would they flash out those huge machine guns and helicopers and firing like mad like there's nobody watching? I mean, what are those Shaolin Monks doing hiding in some "dark places"? They didn't seem to have any Kung-Fu skill when the "bad guys" whip out their guns... ? I like Chow Yun-Fat, he's a great actor put into a very chessy movie plot. He's done some great movies in the past, like Anna and the King, Crouching Tiger, but this just doesn't suit his style. And the co-star... Seem like they are so helpless all the time. No plans or anything to keep themselves safe... like more guns? They just keep running away and the bad guys just keep chasing them. So stupid.
