Interesting from a historical perspective, but also quite entertaining. We rented it and that was good. It's also a very good cast..

A great movie. Even if they seemed to have cleaned up, or skipped the real story wherever needed to keep their rating. The editing was great though. The sprinkling of interviews throughout added a touch of comedy, usually combing blunt interviewers with ignorant interviewees.

Fantastic Film! Superb acting! The editing and ending are a bit of a let-down. But the film is highly original and worth seeing.

VERY GOOD MOVIE 10/10, a bit a la Beautiful Mind (John Nash) Kinsey was a ground breaker in the 50s, and surrounded by especially conservative narrow minded americans. His sudden awakening against unscientific bias is a refreshing story of mind over moron, rationality over bind dogma, love over hatred, etc... Must see movie, especially over and over for Americans and religious 'blind'.

How far have we gone since the Kinsey report? Not far enough I say. With puritanism on the uprise in the states and most of the middle east (+) under Muslim segregation law, how open sexually are we really? Marriage is a formal way to recognize a ‘true' relationship. Why must we have formal recognition? Why can we not marry three, four or five persons together. Why cant I marry my mother or my sister if we are both adults? Kinsey will make you think and stir up emotions just like my last remark did. A must see.

Yes, the truth is always a hard one to accept. That is what this movie is about, facts dealing with human behavior. Kinsey is well acted, Neeson puts in a solid perfomance and will get noticed come March. Kinsey is a film that is worthy of seeing. The majority of the masses will like it, however, I would be careful not to classify this film in the same catagory with Oscar "best pictures" simply because it was not powerful enough.

I really enjoyed the dialogue, and Neeson & Linney's performance. There have been parts that were too stretched, or unconvincingly glossed over, but this is a minor drawback. Rather dry in terms of emotions, but intellectual and funny!

An excellent movie, if you are looking for thought provoking subject matter and great acting. The director eschews sentimentality for realism and characters with foibles, and so many of the issues remain taboo today. Watch it to be challenged.

An uneven film. The subject matter and life of Kinsey are fascinating, there are some very good moments, and important issues are raised by the film, ones which are still being fought over today. But the film has weaknesses. The two prinicpal characters often appear to young or too old for the age frame they are playing at different moments in the film. The editing is irritating, and the ending goes on and on and on and on. The movie could have been twenty minutes shorter and more sharply focussed.

Very strong bio-pic. Suffers from the usual perils of condensing a lifetime into two hours. But Neeson and Linney are superb, and the topic thought-provoking. In these times, not only is a movie like this refreshing, it is urgently needed.

I don't follow films or actors very much but I do know this was a great film. It really brings to light the importance of such reports/studies. After seeing this movie it can make you realize that had this report never been done most of us could still be in the dark about sexual relationships. It was never a subject dicussed, once upon a time it was almost accepted that women didn't have to enjoy sex... without the Kinsey report were would we be now?

This was an excellent movie. Laura Linney continues to choose interesting roles, in this movie: she more than holds her weight against Liam Neeson. Overall a very interesting and satisfying movie. Well worth it!

In these times of bigotry every American should be reminded of how this man touched thousands of people. Great performances by Laura Linney and the support cast and definitely a brave choice for Liam Neeson.

A truly superb movie about an exceptional man. A timely project given the the so-called "morality issues" in politics today.

A very strong performance by Liam Neeson - he dominates every scene he is in. His depiction of Kinsey is in shades of grey - portraying him neither as a hero or villian; this I believe is the strong point of this movie. From my readings of Kinsey he was non-judgemental of people's sexuality (preferences, orientation, sexual frequency... ); but he was also a very headstrong person not given to small talk. The remaining cast, particularly Kinsey's wife played by Laura Linney are excellent. The movie is a realistic portrayal of Kinsey's life and his research findings. Given this era of Bush morality it gives a few good counter-strokes to help open people's minds on sexual diversity and the acceptance of it. Definitely see this movie if you like fine acting. Not for the sexual fine of heart ; however I strongly urge religious fanatics to attend for a good wake call!

A terrific movie about a great pioneer. He changed the way we are all living now. I said it after Mystic River and I'll say it again now, Laura Linney is one of the greatests actresses working today.

A biopic of a professor from Indiana who became a household name yet whose personal aches and pains were never seen by his captivated audiences. A film so low key in its honesty in depicting the moral secrets of a nation that it became easy to forget this was simply a movie.
