A true cinematic masterpiece and modern-day encore by Akira Kurosawa to his film 'The Seven Samurai' - the finest classic film ever made, and argueably the best film of all time. Every aspect of this amazing historical piece defies superlatives.

Truely a great movie, it is absolutely brilliant in its display of colors and emotion. The acting is very well done, especially on the parts of Lord Hidetora and Saburo. The film is classic, this is how movies SHOULD be made! I watched this movie in a senior highschool class and went out and bought it 2 weeks later, it really gave me an appreciation for Kurosawa's work.

If you haven't seen this movie, then you don't have an accurate standard with which to compare other movies. Kurosawa dedicated his life to movie-making. He was a very, very, very talented artist.

One of Akira Kuroswawa's finest films. This adaptation of "King Lear" is brilliant in every respect.
