I liked this great action adventure picture. One great movie with a real hero, and story unlike so many so called guy flicks.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Personally it isn't a pure masterpiece because in my opinion the whole plot was very linear. And the last half-hour was more depicted rather than dramatically monologued. Also the ending wasn't very good, having cartoonish effects of a ghostly ceremony was extremely weird. And when Indy said for Marion to close her eyes, how did he know that? Nobody else did, and they were just as smart as he was. They didn't explain how the final effect was apart of the development. Becides the study in the very beginning in how they discussed the lost ark's power. And why did Indy ever go against the bad guys. Both sides had the same perspective, so why were they enemies? Just because there was a hard-core kick-ass gun-fight in the beginning, why were they ever enemies? There's only one reason: because the bad guys don't want Dr. Jones to get the ark. They killed for it. Yet both sides had weak perspectives. But despite all of it's flaws, this movie is great. It's unmissable. The action is outstanding, the romance between Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood was spellbinding, and the whole thing all together is just great. Despite it's flaws, it's definitely in my top 10 favourites.

Such a good movie! Adventurous and cool. The only problem is Marian is really annoying. But still a great movie! Harrison Ford was really good.

One of the great entertainment films. This is the sort of thing that made Spielberg and Ford famous. I have watched this about a half dozen times and still enjoy it each time I watch it.

The movie was very very good the only reason I made it a 9/10 was because they made the nazis seem like superime evil.

A true classic of movie making history! When they used to make them for entertainment value, this was one of the best!

An excellent movie and one of the only films that had an equally excellent second and third movie! This movie made me fall in love with Harrison Ford. I loved the action! Could not be better! The only people who would not like this movie would be pre-teens (and younger) who have been subjected to so many poor quality movies that they have no taste for a masterpiece like this. ~tammy.

I saw it in Canada, and even in Paris, France, when it first came out there. I was so excited in Paris that people kept"shhhhshing me". I loved every moment of that movie and only wish they could make movies that good again.

Indiana Jone's is the greatest film trilogy ever. I hate to dissapoint Star Wars fans, but these movies kick Star Wars' ass! Raiders is a classic film that I will never forget. Nothing has come close to the quality of this movie.. (maybe Terminator 2) If you haven't seen this movie yet... buy it now! Thank You. -Series 800.

A high-intensity action-adventure film! Harrison Ford is at his best as a witty, charming, and sometimes nasty, globe-trotting archeologist in search of the famed Ark of the Covenant. Great plot filled with wonderful cinematography and riveting action-sequences. Combines the talents of two of the best action-genre filmakers ever --- Lucas and Spielberg. This movie has it all: drama, action, suspense, romance. This is definitely worth the price of admission!

I never knew I loved "action adventure" movies until I seen Indiana Jones. Although I think it's more " swash-buckler comedy " Either way it's smart and fun.

Snakes, why'd it have to be snakes? I must admit, at one point, I could quote this entire movie, much to the chagrin of my family and friends, hey I was young, yes, that's a good excuse, I was young. This movie is truly a classic. Sure, the sequels weren't as good, even with Sean Connery, but maybe the prequel will perk things up. I doubt anyone hasn't seen this movie, but if not, ROTLA forever. See it again, for the first time.

No question as to how Harrison Ford became a part of pop culture. Raiders of the Lost Ark is to action film making what Star Wars was to science fiction. The music, the visuals, the pace of the story, and the underlying themes of forbidden fruit have yet to be matched in the genre of action/adventure.

A virtual tribute to the moviehouse serials of the black and white era. This thrill a minute ride into true action cinema has been a favourite of mine since I was a teen. As a series, this is truly the first and best of the three movies. Heroes, villains and plenty of snakes to keep you excited for hours.

I still remember the huge grin I could not get off my face the first time I saw this movie. That grin got stuck within the first 30 seconds of the movie and did not go away for hours. I knew immediately that I was witnessing a transformation of movie making technique that would send lasting ripples throughout Hollywood. Stupendous!
