This movie was hilarious! I don't understand why there are so many bad comments, don't expect to laugh EVERY minute just because Will Ferrel is in it.

I like Will Ferrell, and my kids have enjoyed most of his movies. However, this one was a complete waste of time. I am surprised that I watched the whole thing, ready to laugh at any opportunity, but always disappointed. Forget about this movie. The kids both gave it a zero.

This movie was much better than Jack Black's "Year One" - which is not saying much. There were some funny moments, most of which were in the trailer.

Not the best movie, but still some very funny moments. And if you're old enough, like me, to remember the T. V. series (of which I was a huge fan, ) it was just fun to see a new spin on an old favourite.

There has been way to many Will Farrel movies this is just another one of those movies that he just makes a big idiot of himself once again. Good movie could be uch better and dialouge wasn't that well put together... next time Will stick to the small parts.

Wow it was so brutally bad I can't believe they even aloud it to actually be on the big screen. First of all its rated PG so my little bro went with me and there was so much sexual innuendo and swear words for a PG movie it was unbelievable. The movie was so bad I left 45 minutes into it. A waste of my lifetime. But I Guess thats what you would expect from Will Ferrell movies.

This is Wil Ferrell in Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Sort of interesting, but maybe better to see as a movie rental or discount matinee.

It's not that I have something against the actors, the movie was just not good. Wasn't totally terrible, but not good. At the beginning of the movie I thought it was okay, pretty good, until it went to the part of aliens... Then I thought it was really munbo jumbo. Became so predictable and boring. Graphics weren't helping much either...

Gee, what a desaster. One of the worst movies you can watch. My wife and I walked out finally when the 'monster' part came. Godzilla after a haircut :)Lame story, lame actors, cheap movie budget. Don't go :)

The movie's graphics are horrible, and the nasty comments are unnecesary. The humour, most of it, was hilarious. The movie is soo random. So many things happen that you don't expect. My cousin and I kept laughing our heads of because of the randomness of this movie. The graphics are horrible, and barely anything looks real and its one of the things that made it funny. Many people would have hated this movie, but I liked it.

Enjoyable in a campy way from start to finish. Moved along nicely and while the backgrounds seemed a bit fake, I just chalked it up to a homage to the original series. Don't believe all the negative reviews, what exactly were they expecting? It's not meant to be a cinematic masterpiece, it's just fun and maybe these people giving it low scores forgot what fun means.

This is a Will Ferrell comedy through and through. This is not meant for young kids. Thought I would put that first before reviewing this movie because (a) if you don't like Will Ferrell or his movies you certainly won't like this and (b) this movie contains adult humor. For me Will Ferrell movies never get old but this one was his most original since Anchorman. They took Will Ferrell style humor and combined it with a movie that pokes fun at the original Land of the Lost TV show and 1960s sci-fi movies. From the very opening I was laughing and never let up. The opening and closing credits as well as the theme music throughout are very retro 1960s and this helps create a fun and comical atmosphere. In fact watching this movie I couldn't help but think back to movies like Planet of the Apes and Journey to the Center of the Earth. What surprised me the most was the production values, to be sure its no Transformers, but for a comedy this movie looks really cool. Sprawling deserts, lush jungles, and not to mention tons of memorable 'artifacts' past to present, all help to create a surreal yet sumptuous visual feast. Then there are the Sleestaks. The film makers clearly wanted to keep their campyness from the TV show and what we get are a bunch of creatures that are clearly people in rubber suits. This isn't a bad thing, in fact it just adds all the more to the fun and humor. All-in-all a great little comedy with laugh out loud humor as well as many homages to the Land of the Lost show and 1960s sci-fi movies as well.

The reason I wanted to watch it with my family was because when my dad saw it in the 1970's it was great. I've seen it on DVD and it was very good. But in the movie they pretty much wrecked it. They added very vulgar comments and it was very disgusting. I do not recommend it. Do not go and see it.

THE WORST MOVIE EVER MADE. Lost complete respect for Will Ferrell, and was counting down until the last second until I could walk out and warn people to save their money. I wish there was a minus scale that I could rate on, because if there was this wouldve definitely been at least a -8. PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE.

Obviously, since it has Will Ferrell in it, you can't take it too seriously. Which is fantastic, because this is a great comedy, not serious in the least, and not the re-hashed comedy you see a lot these days. I especially liked Danny McBride's character and acting. People who probably won't like this are people who hate scifi, and don't appreciate an original comedy.

Terrible. Went to this because "The Hangover" was sold out. Will Farrell wasn't funny at all in this. It was like they shot the movie in a week on a budget of $1000. I kid you not I actually slept through some of this movie in the theater. Couldn't even tell if it was geared for kids or adults, and I don't think it would appeal to either.

Dumb movie. Worth renting, but not in theatres. It was a bad version of Journey to the Center of the Earth. Though most parts were boring, I stayed in the theatre and caught some funny parts near the end. Rather watch the proposal.
