Two words: boring horrible. Not funny at all, boring, everything you don't want in a movie. Levy is usually funny, but he cannot save this movie when he is given nothing to work with.

This crew of performers/writers never fail to deliver. As a dog lover and a comedy lover I can't say enough about this. Very funny, touching and something you can't say about many movies - surprising! As I write this, I'm waiting for A Might Wind to come out and looking forward to anything winner.

It's like a wonderfully long SCTV movie if the key characters were dogs and their entourage.

Great movie. The personalities of the owners so reflected on the type of dog they owned. Not to mention my new pups dad is in the movie so bonus points for that :)

Best In Show is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was boring, not funny at all, homophobic, poorly acted and appealed to the most vulgar instincts of its audience. Fred Willard shamed himself as a stupid, potty mouth of an announcer. Nothing he said or did was the least bit funny. Best In Show - worst in house.

I loved this movie, the way the dogs and their owners looked and acted. It was a good life about human behaviour and made my recent trip to a dog show more entertaining.

Extremely funny intelligent satire. One must be quite aware of a lot of US pop and social cultures to "get" some of the "jokes". As in all mockumentries, not all of it works, but the stuff that does works in a biting, SNL at it's Peek, Second city TV kind of way: that is: comedy satire writing at its best. Highly recommended for the perpetually Hip and pop (social) culture vultures...

This movie was cute. We chuckled throughout the film. It is not a film that most will remember for long, but if you like people and their dogs it is worth seeing. There are a lot of worse movies out there.

I have a personal aversion to so-called comedy films that are ha-ha funny... If it appeals to the masses, it's not for me! So imagine my delight to find a film like Best in Show. Right from the get-go premise, a dog show, you just know it's going to be (panting) tongue-in-cheek, all the way. Fred Willard was his extemporaniously brilliant self, bringing pangs of nostalgia for me for his "Fernwood Tonight" days. Christopher "Genius" Guest does it again, with bizarre-yet-affable characters, whose only sin is taking themselves too seriously. Guests comedic strength lies in his pairing of characters who subtley bring out the best AND worst in their partners. The most lastingly memorable scene for me is one of the last ones, where the rich blonde buxom bimbo, now the lesbian business/pleasure partner of her lanky, trainer/lover, is engaged in a mutual appreciation volley, and drops some chocolate icecream on her white bodice... It is the ONLY moment when you can use the word 'pathetic', to describe any of the characters. They are all, in some small or composite way, us! Like I said, not 'ha-ha' funny, but you still come away feeling like you've had a bellyful of laughs.

A good film for any dog lover. It wasn't bad, but I expected it to be a lot better. There were a few laughs, but I would recommend going to see it on a cheapy night or better yet, wait for it on rental.

This was one of my favourite films of 2000, if not my favourite. The comedy gods are at work here, and I couldn't stop laughing at all the unique and eccentric characters. This movie deserves to do well on video. Go see it at the dollar theater if you can!

This is one of the best sleeper hits I've ever seen. Christopher Guest is a master of comedy and I really respect the way he's stayed out of the mainstream Hollywood type films. His usual gang of actors all play hilarious roles in this one - just like Guffman!

Excellent movie. It has been along time since I have been in a theatre that everyone clapped after the ending. I missed some of it because I was laughing so heartily.

As comédies go, this was by far one of the best films in this genre I have seen for years. I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by Stellar performances from some of our old favourites. If you like dry humour you will love this film.

Very funny... at one point in the film, I just couldn't stop laughing at the whole absurdity of what was going on. I recommend it to anyone who likes the humor of SCTV and Spinal Tap.

Didn't like it. It wasn't at all what I had anticipated. Several people in the crowd actually left the movie and asked for their money back. There were a few funny parts but not enough to warrant paying to go see it at a theatre.

Christopher Guest is a mockumentary genius. Probably the best comedy of 2000. His characters are so unrealistically real that you have no choice but to laugh at the ludicrousy. I highly reccomend this film for some gut-busting laughter. Perhaps it's no as good as "Waiting For Guffman", also by Christopher Guest, but still another brilliant film. A rare example of improv at it's *best* on film.

Christopher Guest has crafted yet another comedic hit along the lines of his previous film Waiting For Guffman. The film is mostly improvised, and you can tell that all the actors are having a great time with their roles. Although the film isn't the "cut-throat behind the scenes satire" that one may expect, it is extremely funny. Fred Wilard's annoucer, and the running gag with Cathrine O'Hara personnal stand out for me. If your looking for a film that is both silly and funny simultaniously, then this is the film for you.
