This movie was brutal. I thought it was supposed to be a continuation of Gross Pointe Blanc. Boy was I wrong. The violence is over the top, but in a stupid kind of way. And you could see the "twist" coming a mile away. I would have given this a 1, but I reserve that for Miracle at St. Anne. Avoid this one folks. Stinker.

Its hard to believe anyone would rate this a "10" It is such a bad movie with very little redeeming qualities. John Cusack is simply not funny and Hillary Duff is a testament to bad acting or over acting. I guess if you are 12 you might find this movie funny, but then its rated PG14. If this is her "bad girl" acting debut, I am going to make a point of missing movies she is in. If you really want to see this movie, save it until it hits cable!!

What a disappointment from the Cusaks. The first half hour was very promising as the tongue-in-cheek plot began to develop. Unfortunately, the film moved from an outsourced, corporatized war sponsorship to a really weak and decidedly un-funny subplot about a middle eastern pop-tart, a stupid character portrayed dismally by Hillary Duff. I don't know if it got better because I left to watch some paint dry. Don't waste your time, much less your money.

What a breath of fresh air to see a political satire that uses the art of exaggeration to bring the truth through with such humor. Everyone, especially John Cusak was brilliant.

This movie is terrible. The acting by Joan is sub par (to say the least), the script is really lacking, the characters are stupid, and other than some clever jabs about modern war being incorporated, this movie has nothing more to offer than cheap action thrills. Which, honestly, aren't that thrilling (let alone creative) to begin with. Do not compare this movie to Lord of War. I couldn't agree more with the point this movie is trying to make, but I would have much rather had John Cusack come on the screen and read me some random article about this issue for about 20 minutes, then have ending credits. That way, I would have only wasted 10 bucks, instead of 10 bucks and and two hours. The only way you'll like this movie is if you are either ignorant and do not know that modern war is more or less a business venture, or, if you are so excited that a movie is being made about the idea that you can't see the movie as being a film and not just a political satire.

This was just bad, bad, bad. Poorly acted, not funny at all, and just plain one of the worst movies I have ever seen. That's 2 hrs I'll never get back.

Ok, IF you're into international affairs, into discussing/laughing about US foreign policy, into talking about globalization of corporate america, etc, etc. - you will find this movie absolutely fantastic piece of satire! Priceless... ! But, if you don't see anything interesting, funny, or sarcastic in the image of US corporate advertising on the side of a tank going into battle, you'll probably find the movie pointless and stupid...

Lots of fun. Pretty much Grosse Pointe Blank rewritten to lampoon the corporate farce of American foreign policy. Similar cast, similar premise, even a similar Joe Strummer soundtrack. If you liked Dr. Strangelove, Three Kings and or Lord of War and you don't mind John Cusack's chronic basset hound expressions, you should enjoy this farcical, witty love story with a smattering of intense violence.

This was a really different movie. It's a great movie but not everyone will understand it... but for those who do, they will love it. There is NO movie out there is actually bashing the US government on their war like this movie is. All the acting was amazing and special props go to Joan Cusack and Hilary Duff. Joan was histerical and Hilary actually suprised me... she did a really good job. So if you're looking for something a little different, look for War Inc.
