I would never have expected a movie about a funeral to actually be funny. I am hard to please for comedies, and don't fall for the easy laughs, potty humour or corny stuff. It had some unfunny low points, but way better than most.

This movie was The best clean comedy I have seen in a very long time. I think it told alot about how families should come together, and no matter what stay together.

I really enjoyed this movie and it represented the hilarious antics that families display in time of sorrow. The movie was really funny and I gave it a 10.

I thought the movie was very touching. It gave us a look at the African-American family unit. They made us see that they too, have feelings like everybody else. It made think of the movie "Soul Food", great actors. I think it's high time people start watching films like this one and realize that there are more important things in life than the violence etc. That we see in movies.

It was horrible!!! I have never been so disappointed about a movie. Especially one with an all-star cast.

Really good movie. Same type of "The Best Man", "The Wood", " The Brothers". Who show the reality in some black family in America. But could have been better. Some part was really sad and other really comic. Anyway worth to check it out.

I thought the movie had some great moments throughout, but I was disappointed with the overall pacing and comedy. I felt that it moved very slow for a comedy and the timing which can make or break a comedy was missed. Knowing the play and the humor, I would have loved to see the overall movie be much tighter. The person who seemed to find the humor and let it climax was Loretta Devine. I wished the rest of the movie had her energy. This would have helped the more touching moments and characters such as Raynelle and Ray-Bud mean more. I was very disappointed at the performance given by Jada Pinkett. I usually enjoy her work and I think a lot of it had to do with the directing. Although the character of Suzanne or Sharice is very over-dramatic it was overdone. So I must say that Marguerite made the film for me.

Kingdom Come is a suprising tragicomedy that arises feelings of love and loss not only for the Black community, but for us all. When was the last time you saw an African American based movie that was a drama that didn't include gang deaths or racial disharmony? If you're looking for a fabulous pictoral of today's middle class American, then this is it.
