I saw this in the theater and wanted it right away. It has got a wicked monster, amazing fight scenes, and a firey love connection. See it as soon as possible.

I thought this was a really well made film. Costumes were absolutely amazing, some of the best I've ever seen in a movie. Actin was wonderful. The effects were, like they said, "Martix-like". The colouring of the film was really good. The story was pretty interesting. The beginning was absolutely amazing (some of the best fighting I've seen in a while) All around an excellent movie. I'd buy it if I didn't have to read stupid subtitles or hear voices moving to the wrong lip movements (I hate dubbed movies) Just wicked fun!

A great movie with excellent cinematography. The trailers are a bit misleading; this film is not about a werewolf but about the conditions in France and in the church prior to the French Revolution. I would definitely recommend this movie to any person interested in historical dramas/fiction, romance and suspense. As a word of advice, do not go into this movie looking for horror of the typical werewolf kind, or any kind for that matter.

I had no idea "Brotherhood" referred to a kind of elite secret society opposed to the possibility of the French Revolution. This was quite interesting but really contrary to the expectation of a rather unusual supernatural werewolf film, not in my opinion any less appealing to ntelligent filmgoers. A bit misleading, but a well made movie, even though the Church seems the main culprit which is not historically sound I believe.

I went into the film with no expectations and was pleasantly surprise. I thought that it had the same mix that made Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon such a great hit. It is a definite must see.

It was pretty bad. They tried to put visual and auditory substance and intensity regardless of what was going on in the movie. Beurre epais. Rich colors, costumes, music, sound effects, slow-motions in the tritest of scenes. Ditto for the gore. Even when they were target practicing on pumpkins, the latter would juicily explode and leak all over the place as if someone had filled them with pumpkin puree. The plot does keep you guessing for a good part of the movie, and up until the end you do wonder what the heck is this beast thing. Oh, and did I mention they had a Iroquois Kung-Fu master as one of the main characters? All in all it felt like a Zeena episode or one of those rip-off shows with sword-waving warriors looking for the bad guys in torchlit caverns.

All the ingredients for an interesting movie are present: good story, good image, good sound, a lot of action.

Boy, it is amazing the variety of ratings given for any movie. One person thinks it's great another hates it. I do not recommend this movie. This film looks wonderful, the costumes are fantastic, the acting is good. The script is horrible, the motivations of the charaters make little sense, the plot is as silly as that of the movie CRIMSON RIVERS. Stay away from stupid movies like this that are dressed up pretty.

I have to say I did not expected to be blast away from this French movie. I was wrong!! It was one of the best film this summer. The story is interesting and will keep you guessing. The action is wonderful (well it is "Matrix" like but hey what the heck!!!) The actors mostly seemed to enjoy their work and the best of the best is the feel of Historical France that was reflected throughout the movie.

The movie started off well, but the stupid karate scenes and really stupid plot ended up ruining the whole thing. I was expecting a nice, surprise ending and was so disapointed.

I witnessed "Brotherhood" this afternoon and was thoroughly entertained. The strong points to this movie are the interesting characters, beautiful settings, great fights and intriguing plot. It is a very original movie. If there are flaws it is the length of the film, it seems to drag on a bit. Not a Hollywood-type film which is a good thing, and it's in French too! Bonus if you're bilingual! Anyway my friend thinks this movie shoud get an Oscar for best foreign film, but that could be stretching it a bit. Good movie.

A great picture. It's in french, but once you start reading the subtitles you tend to forget that you're actually reading. A very vivid, well- thought, entertaining story with amazing fight scenes, it takes place in France (back in the day) and so with this setting I guess you get some T&A. I enjoyed it a lot and recommend you see it.

I must admit, I didn't go to the cinema planning to see this film. My movie didn't start for another twenty minutes, so I wandered, knowing nothing about the film, was mesmerised, and missed the film I paid to see. The conflict between Church and State, engendered by the rise of "The Age of Reason" exists as a subtle sub-plot throughout the film, with the Church struggling to regain the dominant position it lost under Louis XIV (L'Etat, c'est moi!) Cinéma verité meets Hong Kong, with a tip of the hat to Hollywood and North America in general in the person of not only an Indian, but also a number of Frenchmen practicing Kung fu in a time when it was forbidden in China to teach it to "round eyes". A number of steeotypes were present, but did not distract from the enjoyment of the film. e.g. Europe's most famous family of poisoners were the Borgias of Italy, so the master poisoner was naturally Italian. Amazingly, her jealousy didn't get in the way of saving her world from the evil Church. A very good piece of period cinematography, with just the right amount of fantasy.

Although somebody said this film is not a hoolywoodian one I'd say it's pretty simmilar. Except the decor and costumes. It has also great images (landscapes) In that period though (~1750) the religious liberty wasn't so loose, lots of huguenots were burned alive. But mister Indian walk around with his native "drugs" and nobody took any measure. Anyway this film is a fantastic one, expect this. Lots of imprecations, the mistery of an unknown animal and powerfull forces. If you like mystery and unreality you'll like this. Maybe it's a bit too tough though.

This is a good movie. It has a consistant story line and great fight scenes. The scenery is spectacular and the acting well done. The movie is more of a chase film than a love story. This is good as there is no female character I can relate to. I liked friendship between the male leads. It was fun to see the Indian warrior behaviour transferred to the blonde lead. The ending has an interesting edge to it.

Very good movie! It's is a refreshing change from the typical hollywood action movie. The suspense was great, action exciting, plot was great as well. I was a nice blend of European, Hong Kong and North American elements in it. By all means, one of the better movies I've seen in quite a while. It was a reminder that not only Hollywood can produce good movies.

Awesome fight scenes, beautiful scenery, great cinematography. I loved the story and the twists it made. Even though you can tell right away who the good and bad guys are, the movie was very entertaining and a little frightening at some points. Overall a great film.

Good beginning, too long! For the first 45 minutes Brotherhood keeps an emotional grip on the viewer, but then slowly becomes a parody of the seriousness it tries for in the beginning. The writer must have written it from beginning to end, slowly getting bored and more lazy as he got nearer to the end. Because that's how I felt watching it.
