Marvalous movie... Through the exciting and thrilling action this movie put me on the edge of my seat... wondering what they would do next... you have to watch it infact most of his movies are very good so just have a Johnny Depp Movie marathon..

Well I don't know what to say about this movie, as a matter of fact I liked the 1st part even more it was full of non stop action more than this one, even though the director is the same but he failed to put potientialty into action this time, yes the cast is well picked except for the famous latin singer Enrique Igelesias he was soo bad, I know it's his 1st screen appearance but he shouldn't have taken the risk of acting especially in a thriller like this. And I'd like also to point at the greatest actor ever Johnny Depp that this movie is against his long blockbuster history of films despite he played it well and I guess no one would ever be able to play like him I still think that it doesn't count to his sucessful movie career. The ending was nice except for what happened to Johnny (him being blind)I really felt sorry for'm. Anyway it was a nice movie but Desperado was much better. Thanx Johnny Depp lover.

Though definitely not as good as El Mariachi, this film is still action-packed. Very violent, with a plot that's relatively hard to follow. However, all the acting is good and the directing is excellent. Won't receive as much credit by those who see it by itself because it can't stand alone - needs to be supported by its two prequels.

Simply stated, this movie is awful. You can tell that soon by Depp's acting: he wasn't convinced himself why he was there... The rank is raised by 2 things that I rate excellent: the soundtrack (10/10) and the picture/scenery (great Mexican landscapers)

I found the movie was ok, but could have more effort on the plot. Johnny Depp made a stunning performance, but I think that everyone else's job was ok. Although, I could say that it's much better than the original El Mariachi. I would also consider this movie as a comedy by the fact that they use guitars as weapons.

You have to go to this movie based on the director not actors... Robert directs very much in the same way that quentin does. All the things that you dislike about the movie are why the movie is so great... have you seen from dusk till dawn or desperado, this isn't a matrix done in mexico this is a sequall to an equally silly movie. I loved it, I loved Johnny's lines, I loved the direction. And if any one noticed the blood splater on the screen after he kills the cook you to will agree this man is a genius. Robert is the man. This movie is a must see if you are a movie collector, if you are someon that complains about black lines on your t.v. during movies you might want to skip this one.

Great Great fun. Johnny Depp is... well Johnny Depp, very funny. Didn't like Enrique Inglesia's performence at all. Action was great, plot was a bit straightforward but all in all, Robert Rodriguez delivers. If you liked this then definitely go and rent the original El Mariachi, it is in spanish and had a horribly low budget, but it was a great watch.

Not bad for the odd laugh. If you have a warped sense of humor that is. Some wierd twists. Would have been better without Banderas. All I can say is "you're either a Mex-I-Can or a Mex-I-Can't" muahaha.

Wow. Many of these reviewers are really, really stupid. Yes, 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' is fast-paced and a bit cheesy, but it's supposed to be that way. It acts as a sequel to the equally-violent films 'El Mariachi' and 'Desperado' and, for that reason, is purposely shot like a Mexican B-Movie. Looking for the right things, the movie is a work of art. The raw direction, the "fake" special effects, the gratuitous violence make the movie what it is. The fact that people didn't understand the plot goes to show that most went only to see their beloved Jonny Depp - probably the same who went to see 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' and stayed "only for Jonny". It's a good movie, full of action and, as the title suggests, told like a modern Mexican fairytale - Bandaras' character is a mythical hero serving a distinct purpose - what it is you'll have to find out for yourself.

Depp! Depp! Depp! See it for mr. Depp! He is greatas always-the genre of wild west used to draw attention to the dirty power games being played all over the world, it is not just a shoot 'em up. I am not trying to justify the violence which was a little ott. But full marks for use of genre and some allegories through mr. Depp and what he stands for in the movie. Appearances can be deceiving, those that think it's just an action flick think again of the revolutionary ideas buried in the film. The ever changing face of the kartel, to name one..

What can you say about this movie that hasn't been said by the countless others on this page. I could say it was horrible but I think that's too generous. The most interesting character is played by Johnny Depp but, where he nailed is role in Pirates of the Caribbean, this character was bad. I could go on about what's wrong with this movie (I. E. plot, fight scenes, main character) but it would be redundant because it's all be said before.

Like practically every other Johnny Depp movie I've seen, this is another very well done movie. The plot is a little hard to follow... I guess you have to be smart to watch this movie and really understand it... to those who didn't!! The characters are all intéressting and as for the comments on the violence in the movie... if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen!

Hmmm... I'm very disapointed because when I saw the trailer of the movie, I thought it would be a very interesting movie. But it turned out that it is a very strange and stupid movie. I saw many movies with violence and I think violence makes never sence... but in this movie, it made no sence at all. I don't get how somebody can shoot another person for no reason... (it would be stupid and sick even with reason) and... I will go to Mexico next year... and the movie DID scare me a little bit!! Because the only thing I saw in it was shoooting and killing... The only reason WHY I actually watched the movie is... because of Johnny Depp... I like him as an actor... but not in this movie... better u watch pirates of the caribien... because it has everything a movie should have!!!

While this film aspires to be a Hollywood spoof (gratuitous violence, liberal helpings of two- dimentionl characters, pointless love interest and classic mexican stereotypes) I'm afraid it just doesn't pull it off successfully. Sure it has the fancy camera angles but the writing is horrible and the plot predictable. For me it went down hill as soon as Banderas made his entrance. The only saving grace is the quirky character played by Depp. If your into watching ruptured jugulars from the safety of your plush cinema seat then by all means, this is for you.

I think it's an okay film. Except for the fact that there was lot of killing of inoccent people. I thought Johnny Depp was acting good in it though, as always. I think if your into action and violence and your good at finding the plot in complicated stories than watch this movie.

I loved once upon a time in mexico. It is too cool. The whole story line is different. I love action movies and I love Antonio Banderas and definitely Johnny Depp. I would rate this film 10/10. I enjoyed watching the film, and I will watch the film again and again. 10/10 definetley.

The worst film I've seen for ages. Too much violence... the plot is complicated and unrealistic It seems to me that the director used a lot of special effects in the shootings for exemple, to hide the weakness of the strory. I really hated the scene when Johnny Depp hands out a gun to a child. I'm not pro-censorship but there are certains things that should never be shown Such a waste of money for everyone. Avoid this rubbish at all costs.

It was pretty good. If you didn't figure out that it wasn't supposed to take itself very seriously, then what were you watching? I mean, the third arm? LOL! Good movie overall, I lost a little bit of the plotline in the end... as it got weighed down by the stylization of the movie. I wouldn't go see it again, but I might rent it just to get a good look at it.

This movie has nothing to offer except maybe that the roles of Wilem Dafoe and Mickey Rourke are a little interesting. What a load of shlock. Even the arty images and camera angle mood can't save this disaster. The best thing about this movie was the trailer. See Johnny Depp's performance in Pirates of the Caribbean instead.

First statement, this is the worst movie ever. The allstar cast I believed should have made for one kickass movie. However, it turned out to be filled with mexicant's (if you saw this garbage flick you'll understand) I'm all for the high violence gun battle cool-guy stuff. But how the hell is Johnny Depp supposed to win a gunfight when his eyes were gouged out a few hours before. Please, for the love of God erase this movie from the planet!!!

This is not an interesting movie. You can hardly follow the plot because everyone turns on erveryone else. Depp does a good job but the story is so completely unbelievable that it becomes more of a comedy than an action film, not the desired result I'm sure. Wait for the video.
