After watching Monkeybone, I found it absolutely hilarious. Any movie that Brendan Fraiser has been in that I have seen is extremely funny. This movie has been added to my list of top movies to buy!

I just watched the movie last night and to me Monkeybone was a very good movie. When I see a movie with Brendon I know that I'm going to laugh through it and he knows how act. I've seen all of his movies and they all great ones to see.

I enjoyed watching the Burton's latest pic. It was even better than Batman or The nightmare before Christmas.

The only thing I liked about this movie was the subliminal messages... Other than that, it's s piece of crap :)

This movie is one of the funniest in theaters for the /longest/ time. Indesputably. It's not just slapstick, Brendan Fraser is amazing as both 'egos' and the animation is spectacular. Tis a must-see...

Interesting special effects, barely any plot and not much humor. I recommend this movie to people who like sick and twisted movies. It is a waste of time and money better spent on good movies.

Does Brendan Fraser even know how to say no to his agent. Maybe he was thinking of scenes with Bridget Fonda and forgot to read the script. Whatever the reason we shouldn't have to pay for his mistakes. The computer graphics department should be applauded for a great job as you wish that little monkey would kill Fraser and end the movie asap.

My daughter wanted to see this movie for her 9th birthday, and we were terribly disappointed by the crass sexual content. We walked out part way through the movie, with my daughter upset for her birthday being "ruined". The theater manager gave us a refund when we complained that the rating was definitely inappropriate for children under 14. Who rates this crap anyway?

This is the first time I write my comment on a movie. This movie is so bad, that I thought I have to warn others. No Story, No acting. This was suppose to be Comedy, and I didn't even smile once during this boring movie. Save you time for something better, which can be anything!!

Although this movie definitely lacked flow, it had redeeming highlights. Chris Kattan is beyond hilarious (if you're an SNL fan, you'll appreciate him from Mr. Peepers, Mango, his Rude re-enactments, etc. ); Brendan Fraser is magnificent, as always, and his acting isn't bad - I'm a long-time fan. MB was dark and layered with shining bits of brilliant. The most disturbing part about this movie, and I'm going to sound like a prude, but here goes, was the fact that the theatre was full of people with young children. Did they not know what this film was about or do they let their children watch anything? This movie was full of sexual jokes, simulated sexual acts, violence, nightmarish figures and images, a dead guy running around with a broken neck losing organs... Need I go on? This was no Disney flick. I whimper for the future.

Monkeybone is an experimental cross between Beetlejuice and Cool World (thematically, not quality-wise). A must see for animation buffs. Intended as a movie for all ages but much of the material will only strike a chord in adults. Great performaces by Chris Kattan and Brendan Fraser. Excellent cameos by a certain cigarette camel and Stephen King. Catch it at the big screen while you can.

I saw the movie with my 6 and 7 year old children. I did not realize it would be filled with so much sexual content not to mention the nightmare scenes in downtown. I got up and left the movie and I wasn't the only parent with children who did the same. The movie has a general rating. The rating should be higher.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Brendan Braser and the SFX department pull a two punch: spectacular visual effects with funnyman Brendan at it's best, taking up the challenge of incarnating a dual personality. The only bad thing to say about this movie is that you might feel overloaded by 1) the constant gags that are playing at multiple levels with constant references to pop culture and 2) the switching from the astonishing background to the action in Downtown and the ordinary real-world.

It's a funny and weird movie, dreams or nightmares defenetly not for kids. Brendan, Whoopi and Chris (Kattan from Saturday Night Live or Mango if you like) are good and funny but the story so so... See it in the afternoon or on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
