Excellent movie. It is an inspiration to follow your dream. However, I did find Farmer a bit selfish in the beginning.

DVD: "Astronaut Farmer"
Billy Bob Thornton is fantastic actor. It's good in this movie to see that he does go after something he really wants, it speaks for the persistency and tenaciousness of the human spirit. I really liked this movie a lot!

Not a bad movie but I found it a little boring at times. I felt the cast wasn't right for this movie. Bruce Willis was definitely a waste of budget here. I know why he was cast in the movie but I don't agree with the decision. Change the cast, except for the children and I bet the movie would be better. Mildly entertaining at best as it stands.

This movie could have been as moving as a film like Field of Dreams. It was a very poorly written screenplay, rugged story telling. Great idea for a movie, should be remade and more thoughtfully prepared.

Just "Not Bad". Definitely not good though. It was very slow, and could have been a lot better. Wait till it comes out on DVD.

A good movie. If you are looking for a positive film that promotes good family values (something that is unfortunately lacking in today's society) then this is for you. I would not say that it is the best movie that I have ever seen, but it is a "feel-gooder" of which left myself and my spouse smiling at the end.

This was a good movie, not great, but good. Anyone could have predicted the ending, you knew it was going to happen. However they put it together well and did the job in keeping the viewer interested. Its not a movie I would see in the theater again, but would definitely watch it on DVD when comes out.

This movie was one of the best shows I have seen in a while. I watch movie all the time, and this movie should have won best picture; although, The Departed was a good show as well. Lets not give up on our dreams!

Its a very good movie and it does sends a message about family values. Good arguments raised and nicely answered! I find it a very good moral story.

Great movie for all ages, I brought my 8 year old son with me and he loved it as well.

Even though this movie is far fetched (in as much the fact of building a rocket in the backyard as the wife supporting him in his endeavour even when they are close to bankruptcy), there were many moments generating a smile. Also there were nice messages I. E. close knit family and believe in your dreams despite some failures along the way. If you see this movie while knowing that it is totally unrealistic, you can spend a nice evening.

Anyone looking for pleasant escapism should be able to enjoy this without having to turn their brain off completely.

In the way it celebrates can-do spirit and the rugged individual and the power of dreams and all that, The Astronaut Farmer seems to be a nostalgia outing about another time and place and a celebration of the people who lived in that America.

Nice light film with an honest moral, all you really need is lots of free money to make your dreams come true.

Took the wife & kids to see this movie. My wife and I loved it, the kids liked it or was o.k. It was refreashing to see a film with a bit of depth to it. Some bits were a little far fetched but over all I liked the acting and the caractors were veary bilievable. All in all I thought it was heart warming and good to see someone trying beyond all odds to see his or her dreams come true. Loved it!

Billy Bob made a booby. Poor plot, bad science, cringing 'I have a dream' speeches.

I expected this movie to be a lot better... I would have been so mad if I had paid for it. Anyways, it doesn't tie everything together and one part is just completely put in wrong timing and is just awful. I saw it with ten people, two of them fell asleep.

Thouroughly enjoyed Thornton's and Madsen's performances. Always reaching out for your dream - what a subject. Furthermore, the family spirit/unit/bond is remarkable/omnipresent - quite extraordinary in this time & age. What values for our younger generation.
