This movie was way too long and dragged on, it was boring and it sucked. I guess there were 2 or 3 funny moments with Billy bob thorton and the begining had a good start, but then during the middle of the movie it really starded to get boring and lame. Not recommneded for anybody.

A totally under-rated film. Lots of fun. I really liked the interplay between Willis and Thornton, and Blanchett's performance is a blast.

When we identify with a character, we want to believe that they are real and have a connection with us. What is not so great about two kind hearted convicts who want bigger and better but don't want to kill anyone, they just want the money and a good woman. Well, one woman per man guys. Great film. Love triangle that ultimately ends in the winner being Cate Blanchett, the banks money is gone and the bad guys are dead but live and everyone lives happily ever after. Funny and untrue but a great entertainment event that continues long after the movie is over. You can't help wanting to own this film and turn it on every couple of months or so just to watch Billy Bob Thorton smell burnt toast and collapse on the restaurant floor and then crash out of the plate glass window moments later. Way too much fun! I think that Billy Bob Thorton and Bruce Willis could easily be paired up in another film and watch their chemistry feed inspire another box office hit. The saliva bit is extremely erotic and totally unexpected. Great scriptwriting.

This movie had its slow moments, but it also had some real funny moments. Billy Bob's hypochondriac character was hilarious. And the stunt guy was great comic relief as well. [...] just great.

This movie was a stupid movie. I cannot just imagine that a talented actor like Bruce signed for this movie. It is too long and boring with only few good scenes.

Way too long. The movie just kept going and going and going and going. Fell asleep and upon awakening went to the bathroom. Ending was amazing but it couldn't make up for having sat through the rest of the movie.

This movie is horrible. It caused me mental anguish while watching it. The surprise ending was no surprise and was not realistic at all (even for a movie) My wife got up from the couch 1/2 way through the movie and decided to clean the bathroom rather than watch the rest!

Surprisingly funny, with a little bit of everything - romance, suspense, shoot-em-up and a surprise ending. Good performances all around. This movie should keep you entertained all the way through.

I thought this movie had some funny lines yet while waiting for those funny moments it also seemed to drag in places, many places. It does have a few good twists so it wasn't a complete waste of time watching it. The actors played their roles very well though.

I have to say this was an incredible movie! A pure masterpiece. It was hilarious when Cate Blanchett was in her car, and she was singing total eclipse of the heart by Bonnie Tyler. My mom even started singing. I recommend this movie to all the ages.

Okay, I loved it. Thought it was funny, lighthearted, had enough action to keep me interested and a unique love story that gave this movie and different edge than most in its league. Bruce and Billy-Bob did a fantastic job. Quirky enough to make me laugh. Great fun for an afternoon matinee or a late night date with a friend.

I love my girlfriend Lisa very much, we have been going out for 3 months now and they have been the happiest 3 months of my life. She is the greatest, one of the most recent examples of her greatness was when she was able to get us free passes after we walked out of the worst movie that we have seen together as a couple. Bandits is terrible folks, if you do go see it you will be sorry... Very sorry. I wouldn't even go back to see that movie if someone paid for me, I can't believe they spent thier money making that movie. VERY VERY BAD, im throwing up just thinking about it I love you Lisa *kiss*.

Great Movie. An open and close plot. No loose ends. Can't say much here so that the plot don't get ruined. Worth any $ amount to go see this. PS: Bring your woman with you and don't forget the tissues. (some choke up scenes are there).

While I always enjoy a dissenting opinion, and never thought I would write this with so many apathetic miscreants handing out ratings of 9 and 10 like candy, this movie is actually not as bad as some of the reviews indicate. It isn't good, per se, but it isn't THAT bad. Thornton is everything you would expect, Blanchett is too far onto the neurotic side, and her decision to leave everything isn't compelling. It's also interesting how she/the writers rationalise her romantic/sexual interest in both Willis and Thornton. They don't. UNDERedited. Scenes are too long and some don't even contribute to the plot. If you never see this movie, don't be sad. If you want to waste two hours and a few dollars, go ahead.

I have nothing negative to say about this movie yet, it wasn't earth-shattering and wow, it was predictable. Maybe I should start again, I really enjoyed this movie. Bruce Willis was maginificent, as always. Billy Bob Thornton was very good and who knew he was so funny? I mean, I knew he was a little, funny, but comedic as well, wow. Cate Blanchett is always a neurotic treat. Funny, interesting and yet with a wrong, but understandable message.

I was very disappointed with this movie. With such a cast I expected much more, but for a start they were hampered by an awful script and Kate Blanchet goes from an Academy Award performance for Elizabeth to a zero for her role in this film. Interesting, they say comedy is far harder to play than drama. The film was slow, many scenes were drawn out to the point of exhaustion. Much of the dialogue was just plain silly, and if Bruce Willis had been any more laid back he would have been horizontal. Billy Bob just babbled endlessly. No not for me, not even on D.V.D.

ZZZZZZZzzzz..........What, huh? It's over? YAY! Seriously, I haven't slept this fitfully in a movie theatre since The English Patient or Avengers. Bruce Willis sucked, and Billy Bob was really REALLY irritating. Cate Blanchett was hot, but I found the movie (what little of it I was actually conscious for) was too centred around her. The "sleep-over bandit" idea was hilarious, but it should have been the main focus of the movie; it should not have been a romantic comedy-drama, but a pure, wacky comedy. AVOID.

This was a good movie. It was a subtle. It was serious, and funny all at once. In one scene every soul in the audience was laughing insanely out of control. The movie is a character study of some interesting individuals.

I was surprised to see a lot of negative comments about this movie. I liked it a lot. It was sorta funny and suspensful, sure it kinda dragged on and they could've made it a little more interesting, but it was definitely worth the money and the time. I loved everyone's acting and the ending was good. I would definitely recommend this movie. Check it out!

It seems that the editors were out getting hammered instead of being in the cutting room. Every scene dragged on endlessly. Although there were sparse moments of humor, the movie had no direction and weak continuity. Bandits fell short when trying to be a drama, action, and comedy all at the same time. It's a shame such talented actors jumped aboard this sinking ship. I walked out of the film after 2 hours annoyed with the seemingly insignificant scenes and long pauses. Tell all your enemies that this film is awesome, I can't think of a more painful form of torture.

But you know what? "Bandits" is also whip-smart and funny, which, in such a mediocre movie year, makes it easier to accept, flaws and all. This is definitely the most fun a major-studio film has been for a long, long time. (Even more shocking is the fact that it seems to indicate some sort of revitalization of the badly faltering film studio MGM, which also produced the modestly successful comedies "Legally Blonde" and "Heartbreakers, " as well as the indie success "Ghost World" — all highlights of the year so far.)

This movie was really really bad, I really wanted to stand up and leave but I told myself that maybe it's going to get better soon. It didn't. The dialogues were fake, the humor artificial, the jokes forced. Sometimes I just wanted to jump into the movie and beat some of the actors. Probably Bruce Willis' worst movie since a long time. The only thing I liked about this movie was its ending. Don't waste your money and stay home and watch a CNN report on Bin Laden instead.

The premise of bank robbers stealing for a better life was weak. And the sound of those monkeys at the third bank was really disturbing. The effects were good but I found the movie to end abrutly. One minute there's no way out, the next minute they're saved. And why wouldn't they keep getting attacked even when they're getting saved. I just don't get it!!! The main reason I did not give this movie a better rating was due to a scene near the end where the characters stopped for dinner with a group of French colonists, it did not "mesh" with the story line. It seemed drawn out and even gave you the feeling that the scene was taken from another movie. It almost seems as if they ran out of money and couldn't write any more scenes. The last twenty minutes (could also be viewed as the first 20) should have been completely changed. Then, I would have given it a 7.

Now after reading some of the reviews which gave this movie a 10 out of 10 - I have one question - WHY? This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The movie makes a sad attempt to explain the lives of two bank robbers. The movie dragged on forever. There were a few funny parts which only lasted a micro-second and after that passed, it was horrible. My boyfriend Bryan, and our friends Marc and Jeff walked out of the movie since we couldn't take it anymore. We asked for our money back since it was definitely not worth it. If you would like to save money please do not waste your time and see this movie GO SEE SOMETHING ELSE. I would give this movie a 0 but since we can't I'll give it a 1.

A very fun & entertaining movie. The chemistry between Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton was a hoot; two opposite personnalities that made great partners in crime. It slows down a bit in the middle but you just gotta love that ending!
