Fine for a rental but not necessary for viewing on The big screen. I actually enjoyed it more than I expected. I'm not a big George Clooney fan either. It did have some very funny parts. A relaxing view when there is nothing better to do. I found The outtakes on The DVD irritating... there were a couple that were just boring!

Wasn't impressed with The quality of The performances. Both of these actors have so much more to give The audience. Too predictable. I think this was a rushed filming.

Intolerable Cruelty was just what The title promised - but The subject of The intolerable cruelty is The viewer, not one of The characters. This movie is The worst I can recall seeing since "Lone Wolf McQuade"! Its long, intolerably boring, and a cruel waste of The talented stars. You might want to buy The VCR, though - when it comes out. If you have insomnia, I can't think of a better cure!

This wasn't a bad movie, it wasn't great either. There were parts that where fairly funny, dark humor as someone else has mentioned, and The whole movie did keep you guessing. I'd recommend it, but don't expect too much out of this movie.

I found this picture to be very funny and totally entertaining. That said I seemed to be in The minority as most of The audience sat quietly and only a handful of The audience seemed to get this movie. This picture is a modern day screwball comedy full of black humor about love, romance, marriage and divorce. The characters are over The top and so are The situations The characters find themselves in. The jokes are sometimes subtle, other times blatant and they often come in rapid succession so maybe they get missed. Perhaps audiences don't like seeing The institution of marriage and The culture of love being made The butt of jokes. I guess few find divorce to be funny, but that's why its called black humor. Its too bad audiences don't get this picture, as it deserves a much better reaction.

I was really looking forward to this movie. With two great hollywood actors but was very dissapointed, actually laughed at lot at The end - that would be laughing at The film not with it, also glad it was over. Take my word for it - dont waste your money.

Good Movie! Generates thoughts that surface days later. Through The great and black humour The Cohens' take a life that only complete cynics could survive and manage to make The turnaround believable. A definite must-see. Especially if you know any lawyers!

Actually its quite clever. They've tried to stay away from a sterotypical comedy- romance. I liked it.

I really wanted to love this movie. I really tried to love this movie. But it never seemed to get off The ground. Everyone was trying too hard to make The classic screwball comedy. Just okay.

Not The best movie, but far from The worst. If you know The work of The Cohen brothers and enjoy their comedy then you'll probably get a bit of a kick out of this. If you saw O Brother Where Art Thou? With The Cohen brothers and Clooney then you've got a taste of The humor you'll find here, although this wasn't as good. I went expecting this movie to rank near The bottom so a 6/10 aint half bad... literally.

This was, for what it's worth, a cute and funny film, but it lacks so much of what makes other movies masterpieces. This is good for a cheap rental when you're bored...

Well different people have different opinions. Intellectual people would say this movie is The worst movie ever while stupid people would laugh their heads off in peculiar parts. Or should I say The whole movie? Well The story itself is pretty lame. The only reason a person would like this movie would be because of Catherine cedder Jones.

Yes it is a romantic-comedy, but with a twist. The actors are amazing, they will surely make you laugh and think about how great law suits a few!

Couldn't keep my eye of Catherine each time she was in a scene! It's not going to win an Oscar but I would recommend it to anyone to se!

What can I say? Catherine Zeta Jones was breathtaking in appearance only. If you like Jones & Clooney then it's a must see. They both look wonderful. There was some decent dialogue but overall I found The movie very predictable and lacking any real substance. There were a few funny moments but if you can hold out for The video rental then I suggest that you do.

George and Catherine, Catherine and George, what more can be said about Intolerable Cruelty? Actually, a lot can be said, but I wont waste my time, or yours, by reciting all The problems of this film. If you like meaningless fluff pieces, then you'll enjoy Intolerable cruelty; however, if you like plot driven character pieces with a moral center, then this one is not for you. Personally, I think fluff should be keeped, where it belongs, in adult movies.

I thought this movie could have had so much potential but instead I found it to be a complete flop. Some scenes were somewhat amusing but overall I found it stupid (from a person who loves comedies) Catherine Zeta Jones plays her role eloquently and George Clooney is just 'ok'. If you really have nothing to do on a friday night, then rent it when it comes out otherwise I wouldn't even pay to see this movie (It's too bad I did in The first place)

Probably one of The worst movies I have seen in a very long time. No character development. Attempts at comedy would have worked better if you felt for, or even understood, any of The characters. Good try.

I cannot believe so many people didn't like this movie! I was expecting a lovey-dovey kind of movie like "Notting Hill" or "How to lose a guy..." but I was roaring at The dark side of it. Do not expect a sappy movie. It's a bit dark comedy. However, that said, George Clooney is much more suited for these type of roles than Zeta-Jones is. She looked uncomfortable The whole time. See it on cheapy night or wait to rent it. I'd actually give it a 7.5.

This is a nice movie - somewhat like those 1940s flics that explore in comedic fashion The foibles of The idle and self-made rich. Some good twists; Clooney and Billy Bod are superb; and Z-Jones is amazing to look at. She's actually The type that I would not mind screwing me out of a fortune. It would be worth it!! In any case, go see this one with your other half - you will enjoy it.
