I absolutely loved this movie. All of the big actors in there I knew of and thought were great. Meg Ryan Russell Crow and David Caruso. I like David Caruso. I was kind of hoping that Meg and Russ's character would get together although I also wanted to see her husband get back home safely too. It was a great movie and I bought it as soon as I possible could. Definatley 10/10.

Warning contains spoilers. When her husband is kidnapped Meg turns to Russel to save him. I saw this movie several times and it got better every time. Everything rocks except for Meg though.

I saw this movie when it was released on video and after all the hype about Meg and Russ had died down. This film was entertaining because I did not have any expectations. The only negative thing I would say is that they did not develop the relationship between Meg and Russ enough. I would have liked to see Russ' character falling in love with Meg. I know there was at least one sceen that was edited out of the film that may have helped do this. Other than that, I enjoyed the film and just went out and bought it on DVD!

Russell Crowe's acting is, as usual, flawless. A very gripping story. The ending kind of ended bitterly. An all around good movie.

Great movie! I rate it 11 out of 10. A little bit predictable, but very high quality movie. The movie ended, and I still wanted more. Hope they come out with a sequal. Recommended A+++

I thought that this movie held great potential but did not succeed in convincing me of the crisis situation that Meg found herself in once her husband had been abducted. I also found that Russel Crowe's motives for aiding Meg in the retrieval of her husband were highly unbelievable. I mean... why the hell would he bother going through all the troubles and risks of saving this husband when he knows that he could never have her? "such is the way of love"? Yeah right... I agree that this movie does state very poignant messages and many noble and loving gestures but the fact is that it was way too unrealistic. I would only recommend this movie to young teenaged girls because only young teenaged girls would appreciate such unbelievable romance and would walk out of the theatre thinking that they learned something important from the movie.

This is an excellent movie. The story is great, the cinematography is wonderful and Rusell Crowe as usual, proves himself as an accomplished actor. The story builds well and the suspense as the end approaches is nail-biting!

This movie is not as good as what I expected. Anyway, it is a OK movie to see if you have nothing else to do during the holiday season. The performance of Meg Ryan is always like the same "pattern", nothing surprising and nothing exciting. Regarding another star Russell Crowe, his performance is better than Meg but not as wonderful as that in Gladiator. The story is obviously a "make-up", unlike a real story. I am not moved at all.

I was suprisingly pleased with this movie. I went in the movie theatre, with my drink and popcorn thinking this was going to be a sleeper, but on the contrary, I was edged to the screen the whole time. The action is subtile but very present and the landscape is simply beautiful. I loved the interaction between Crow and Ryan. Their secret love for each other in this sterssfull time puts a hint of romance in theis tragic situation. In all, there is a little of everything for all tastes.

Well... First of all, I must say that Russell Crowe was play extremely well and was very charming throughout the entire movie. Meg Ryan was cute and simple as always. The story was good, there was action, a bit of romance, a bit of humour... A bit of everything. In general, it was a good movie, but I must agree with some of the other people where it seems like something was missing at the end... I don't really know what but you were left with a feeling the move was incomplete.

An excellent film with tremendous acting and a good story/script. The ending is a bit predictable, but it doesn't take away from the suspense as it develops through the film.

I just think it's one of the best movies for this season, there's action, drama, love, sensuality, intrigue, suspense and stress, and a little bit of comedy!! The place is well chosen (Ecuador), the montains and the decoration is perfect. The house and the places are credible and well chosen. It's a new subject wich we don't get to see often. Meg Ryan's fans, we are going to be pleased because as always Meg Ryan has shown, that she's talented great actress, and that in any role she can be as cute, lovely, simple, credible and wonderfuly perfect. Now Rusell of course he's a great actor and has shown that he's good, he really makes the intriguant moments better. David Morse, I think he's the one who played his character the best, hes credible and great, you really see in his eyes how much it's painful and scary. It's a great movie to see, and to learn from him. It's a very different movie, with full of surprises, don't wait go now to the theater and have fun with this romantic, dramatic and captivant movie, with the great actors!!!!

It was a beautifull movie worth seeing the great scenery with the credits, the music was way too loud where I was I couldn't enjoy it. Russell was hot as ever babolicious, spankolicious, assolicious as always. I have copywrite on those words except for babolicious. So do not pass it off as your own or make any money off them please! Just kidding just pretend their freeware. It was beautiful, the film, it filled me with happiness and joy. Worth seeing for Russell. And pleeeese, Meg wasn't that bad, give her a break. Although it's hard to look bad next to Russell.

I think people are being too harsh on the woman played by Meg Ryan. First of all, so what if she falls in love with another guy, her husband was not understanding, uncaring, and very very insensitive about her losing her baby. Not only that, she never cheated on her husband during the movie (except the one kiss), and in the end, she stayed with her husband.

Why the hell did Crowe return from London? Highly incredible... he's not Bogey - eveb if they want to make him one. Meg Ryan was her good old self: Where was Tom (Hanks)? Facit: solid movie but nothing extraordinary.

A thoroughly bad movie, start to finish. The plot, along with the acting by the two big stars, was empty and hardly believable. A few flurries of action kept the crowd awake, but our row passed the time laughing aloud at the script. Rent this only if "Ishtar" is already taken.
