This movie is brilliant not only is it action packed and witty at parts but it is also the odd time pretty funny. The cast give us an almost perfect performance and the special effects are just as impressive. I think my favorite actor from this movie would have to be Ian McKellen he did a fantastic job both this movie trilogy and the X-men movie trilogy. A fantastic movie and a very clever writing not much else to say.

Start of one of the greatest trilogies of all time. Was blown away by every aspect of this movie. Luckily I saw it in the theatre and got the full experience. Amazing what Peter Jackson did to create this masterpiece.

Personally, the best movie ever made at this point. It is perfect. It blew me away, the acting is outstanding. Ian McKellen's performance was very likable. And when Gandalf fell off the edge, I had never cried like I ever had before in my entire life. It is emotional, strong, and crisp entertainment. Perfect.

I addore lotr. They have inspired me to have a great imagination, and my owe my practically my life to these movies. The action is AWESOME and alot of movies out now copy the moves and charecter, such as legolas's arrow moves, and the talking moving trees (ents) new zealand is beautiful I would love to go there and to see the areas that these magnificent films were set. I love everything about these films. I give my greatest respects to Peter Jackson, and the man who made this whole thing... J. R. R Tolkien. Thank you.

Everything was great. I read the books years ago. I was very pleased with the movies. A bit of the details was left out. But I loved the elfin characters and their language was great!!

The movie is fantastic I really love gandolff. I love Golem he's really funny but he sometimes talks to himself in the second movie. The ring that tells people to put it on. But when people put it on the blackriders can find you very easaly.

You know how some movies are only good to see once, well I was about eight or nine when I seen this movie, and fell in love with it, since then I have watched it about 10 times and still love it, the only thing is is that I always try and wait a while before I see it again, hoping that I will forget some of it and that I may be able to relive the first time I watched it, it was amazing.

When one is reviewing a film from the 30s or 60s that was shocking when it was first released, they have to take into account the era in which it was made and how difficult it would have been for the film to be accepted. The same theory applies to The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This movie was made in a time when movies had lost their sense of purity and, in many ways, their sense of purpose. It is one of the most human stories to have been released in years, which is ironic since it is a fantasy picture. This is the most gorgeous epic to have been released since The Godfather and its sequel The Godfather Part II. It is arguably superior to such legendary films as Gone With The Wind and Merian C. Coopers King Kong. It is a film of enormous scale from a director whose only experience came from directing gory B-horror movies. The sheer power behind the movie is what is so extraordinary. It is not modestly scaled in the least. It is a massive, breathtaking epic that sucks you in and blows you away. I believe this to be the best of the three Lord of the Rings films because it is the simplest and most well-told story of the three. It doesnt revolve around a giant, epic battle at the conclusion to keep the audiences attention. It revolves instead around epic themes of honor and friendship that are told in the purest and most effective of ways. The film is about a Ring of great, terrible power that is causing a great amount of turmoil in the fantastical world of Middle Earth. A group of nine is sent out to dispatch of the Ring, and the ultimate battle between good and evil begins. This film is in the same region as the original Star Wars (1977) It moves far beyond the realm of a good fantasy movie, and moves into the realm of movie masterpiece. The Fellowship of the Ring is one of the most beautifully filmed, well-acted, well-written epics to have been released in years. This is a movie filled with triumphant music, awe-striking landscapes and adrenaline pumping battle sequences, and yet it still manages to tell a very important, moral story. There is nothing small about this movie. It does everything in a big way, and it works. This is one of the most ambitious and perfectly directed films to have been released in years. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is a true movie masterpiece..

Many people oppose to my opinion that ''The Fellowship'' is the best film of the trilogy (forgive M. Tolkien for calling your masterpiece a Trilogy) But that is, of course, my own opinion. The acting is brilliant and the directing is phenominal. M. Jackson worked his magic and made the three Lord Of The Rings into the world's most watched and beloved movies of our time. I believe that these movies will be screened on television and there will be anniversary box sets in 50 years from now. If the story or the magical world of Middle-Earth does not speak to you, watch this movie for the shear beauty of the landscape or merely for the incredible music. Either way, there is something in this masterpiece that will appeal to everyone, whether you buy into the magic or not.

The Lord of the Rings is the most magnificent movie ever in history. It has action, venture, comedy, romance and more, that which makes it the greatest movie. But also the cast and crew bring it to life. Their the greatest. Good luck to all the Actors/Actresses and crew in the future. Have great days now, and until the end of your days. Farewell!

A truly captivating story. The actors soon draw you to them in their own individual ways, and have you hoping and feeling for them as if it were real. A must see for young and old alike! One of the few movies I think was wise to take a step furthur from just being a novel.

YAY lets go sit in a crummy theater for flipping three hours and watch a teary eyed rat faced hobbit fight piles of freaks and monsters, Frodo is tottally overdone with his blue eyes and flat baby face... ewww I wanted to throw up. I went in exited and healthy and came out with a bloody headache. What was with the magic of the movie, two old farts Saruman and Gandalf having there own wrestling super man match. Utter crap!!! Elrond and the elves are so gay looking and Elrond can stop frowning!!!
