Kinda Cheezy. The fight scenes were fake. Like when Jet Li piked up 2 motorbikes. Dumb. And he's kicking people that are in slo-mo and he's in normal time. The end was the best part when he's in that wierd orc-ish place and "Handsome Rob" had a good part (Jason Statham)

This is a good alternative for a 1$ movie. There are some already seen effects, but the are not bad at all. The fighting scenes are really good, but unfortunately, the movie is overall pretty (very) cheesy at best. If you are bored and have already seen all the good actions movies out there, then go see it.

An okay movie, but HELLO?! Jet Li got more talent than this! The Directors just wasted him! I have a suggestion for the directoes, watch some films he made in China and get some BETTER ideas before you throw him into some crappy storyline that ruins his reputation.

Excellent Movie! The plot was consistent, and the action was tremendous! I think this is one of the best 1 man 2 character performances I've seen in a long time. I would compare this movie to 'Face Off', but the action is even better.

I'm a very big Jet Li fan but I must say that I was very disappointed with this film. 90% of the action scene was computerized. What's the point of getting a martial art expert like Jet Li if ur gonna use computer special effect for fight scenes. They could've got Keanu Reeves or Dolph Lungren to star in this movie. Oh well that's just my opinion.

Great fight scenes, amasing fx. Another Delroy Lindo success, that guy only plays in good movies. I think this is Jet Li's best, Romeo comes in second, and the rest is well... the sound track is good, the music suits the mood. IT IS NOT A COPY OF THE MATRIX, why because the matrix wasnt all that good if you ask me, sure it pioneered alot of technology in Sfx but the story is just beyond fiction and straight into stupidity. As for the one, well it's more believable and entertainning. JOHN.

This movie is The one to watch!! And could most likely be the greatest most enjoyable exciting movie the world and I have ever seen!!!. If... I were living in another Parallel Multiverse where nothing but children and stupid people roam the planet and get together with their stupid ideas and are totally happy with predictable lame mediocre plots and halfwit humour and later they would reminisce about how they love that good old-fashioned typically overdone special FX that made the movie a hit... in the head with a baseball bat!!! (our reality)

After Romeo Must die was released... followed by Kiss of the Dragon... Jet Li's popularity rised beyon expectations. Unfortunately, his willings for making more movies put him in a regrettable decision when he decided to shoot The One... This movie is far away compared to Matrix... The producors of The One has brilliant ideas about this action plot but don't know how to make a movie out of it. The actions are ok, not Jet li's best, the visual effects were convincible, but the story lines and the way it was edited COULD NOT convince the hearts of audience. If Jet Li continues to accept to do these kind of movies he could never get the Jacky Chan's level of popularity. Too bad for a great actor... one of the best one in Asia. But unfortunately Hollywood doesn't give him a damn chance!

Frankly I went to see it because of Jet Li's Wushu martial arts ability and I was not disappointed. The bad part is that they are turning him into a Van Damme. He is better in his Chinese movies. He must choose better stories, not just to make as many movies as he can.

The special effects were okay, but that's about all you can say for it. The acting and plot were, in a word, laughable. The dialog served only to take you from one implausible fight scene to the next. By the way, if the whole point was to keep both Jet Li's alive and prevent the last from becoming 'the one', why send the 'evil' one to a prison where he's more than likely to be killed?

I thought the movie has lots of Kung Fu actions, but not much storyline. It is one action after another with deafening rock and roll music playing continually. Your ears will be glad for a piece of quiet after you come out of the movie theater.

I honestly thought it was the worst thing I saw since... a long time!!! The action was cool, but the story was of a poor nature. The religious concept was too obvious: There can't be just good or just evil, they must coexist to create a balance, and so on and so on. Something was just wrong about the scenario and plot...

The story and acting were crap to be very blunt. The concept of multiple universes was interesting; it's too bad they didn't go anywhere with it. The movie's saving grace was the special effets and martial arts. Some of the action scenes blew me away, although there was blatant plagiarism from the Matrix. Don't expect much from this film aside from the action.

We are Jet Li fans and seen every movie he made (including all of the ones before he came to North America). We were gravely disappointment by this film. We know Jet Li is now 36 but come on, we're sure he still has some moves left in him. Though the idea of the story was original, the film was poorly made.

I think Jet Li is always a excellent kung fu fighter. But I think he is better off fighting with other bad guy who can really fight. Just like his old chinese film. Those are excellent movie. Especially "Tai Chi Master. " White people can't fight kung fu and it's too easy for Jet Li to fight with him. The fight isn't the best with America.

Has no storyline whatsoever, just seems that is was forced in so that Jet Li would have to fight himself. But hey, some days, you just feel like seeing a movie where you don't have to think, just watch. If you just wanna relax and see a fun movie, this is 'the one'.
