Movie sucks a big time. Ending is infact happy as finally the movies get over lol. Main reason for the movie being so boring is the plot. Decent acting by debutant actors. The sets and everything else is so fake, makes you wonder if it is same director who made such a great movies in the past. Only plus point was the music, which was one of THE BEST created in recent years. So go buy the CD, instead of wasting time watching this.

All I can say is it was soo fake, just horrible, what I mean by fake is the setting; the backround was just plain cardboard painted. I have no words 4 it, om shanti om was a billion times better. I am not trying to be mean I am just telling my opinion. 4 the people who are interested go ahead and watch it, but it's a waste of your $$$, buy it for a $1 instead.

A lot better than OSO. OSO sucked! Didn't expect this from Farah Khan. Songs in Saawariya were really good. Performances were very good. Watched it twice.

This movie sucks so bad that we shouldnt even waste electricity by playing it anywhere!!! Only thing okay were some of the songs... we watched like 1 hour and couldnt take it anymore so ended up in om shanti om and watched it for a third time!!

- Great songs - Rani and Ranbir are amazing - Sucky story - Depressing and khandar type sets and not adding to the story. I did not like the art - Sonam Kapoor sucked - I liked the way movie expresses without words but not enough to like the movie - Unbelievable how people fell for the crap and rating it so well.

I enjoyed it! This movie is different from the regular bollywood releases Rani's performance was beautiful & Ranbir Kapoor was a great new comer. A nice move 8/10.

It was nice... I liked Ranbir Kapoor... very very nice for a newcomer... also if it wasn't for RANI and RANBIR, the movie would have been crap... JUST GO AND SEE RANI AND RANBIR... Sonam looks good sometimes and bad at other times... overall, it was nice but not THAT nice that I'll see it again... its worth seeing though on the big screen...

Omg this film is a master piece dont listen critics they are so... stupid anyways I love the movie Sonam was disappointing in the end but Ranbir he is so sexxy with is ass omg lolz anyways really good this film will be in competition with oso jodaa-akbar , salaam-e-ishq in the awards function really good But sanjay leela bansali take a huge risk of casting new comer because in black devdas they all win the actor actress film director awards but in this case it will be 30% of chance that they all win but even the story is good.

U know I was going thru some of the comments on people who rated this movie quite high. If u are in love watch this movie and stuff like that... crap!! I am in love, in a great relationship right now. The movie sux in every possible manner, except the music, Rani and Ranbir. Ranbir looks hot in towel!! But movie sux in every way possible and art was depressing; and not adding to love story. Being in love does not reflect any part of this movie because I am in love with my guy!! OSO story was not the greatest either but at least great comedy and nice music as well; something I can go watch the second time at least.

I don't rate movies this low in general. It was a major disappointment in terms of story, art, drama, Sonam Kapoor's acting and idiotic Salman Khan role. Great music, Rani and Ranbir are fabulous. Sad start for Ranbir I must say. I have hardly liked SLB movies, except Black and Saawariya is no different. It is such a waste of time. I had heard the art is fabulous; I so so disagree!! I did not like it at all.

Great set design and soundtrack. The storyline was kind of weak and lagging. I was very disappointed with Sonam Kapoor's acting. I would wait to see this movie out on DVD.

This film is a masterpiece. It is elegant, poetic and exquisite. For lovers of Bollywood or Hollywood, this is one movie where the songs actually make sense and contribute to the film. Saawariya is an ode to femininity and women. It is a highly anti-chauvanism film and deals with a situation not often dealt well with or recognized in Bollywood films: rejection. The film examines the one-sided love and a woman's conviction and resolve about her true love. A sensitive film. A must-see for all, especially women.

It was quite a boring movie. Personally, there was no need for that. Yes if he wanted to show off his body like Salman Khan, he could have done that without dropping the towel. Especially when you are sitting in audience with your family. No matter how modern we become, we should forget our roots and culture.

Excellent songs, sets, cinematography and acting. It's a true example of a masterpiece. The newcomers are going to rule bollywood in the years to come. Saawariya has received a mixed reaction from the viewers but I think that is because it is not a mainstream cinema movie. A must watch for lovers of creative cinema!

Ranvir Kapoor acting is good but not a good story line. It is titled as romantic movie but not much romance in there. I have seen other movies of sanjay leela bhansali but this one is not upto the mark compare to other movies.

This film is really good, I mean people say to me don't go watch saawariya its so poor and etc. but omg it was really good. I love Ranbir Kapoor omg he is soo... cute and Sonam they make a beautiful couple, I think they should make up they are such a good couple and I hate when Salman cum'z in the end to take sakhina with him I mean its rubbish but the film was really good and Ranbir had an way to awards and believe me I know what I'm saying and Sanjay Leela Bansali's film cannot ever go wrong and saawariya proves it its way better than om shanti om, oso was good but saawariya was better guy u are in couple go watch that movie is really good [...]

I'm a bollywood lover but this movie was absolutely horrible. I could barely find the patience to sit through it and regretted the 2+ hrs and $8 wasted. I expected something fantastic, after all it was directed by the same person as Devdas and Black, and Rani was in it. I expected a heart throbbing movie, instead I got a headache that lasted 2 days. Movie dragged on for too long, and had way too many songs and dances that all sounded very similar and honestly just bored me to death. The actors wouldn't even get two sentences in and then there was another dance! Almost made me want to cry! The Islamic theme was unnecessary and didn't add anything to the movie either. Still wondering what the point of that was. Besides all this, sceneries and cinematography were pleasant to look at. All in all, an unpleasant movie experience.

Masha Allah! Praise Saawariya! Amazing. So poetic, so romantic, so many metaphors, the settings were perfection, Ranbir Kapoor was a great new comer, Rani was awesome, I loved her I don't really like her a lot. I wanna go live in SLB's world. It was poetry made a film... beautiful.

I give this movie a ten for the simple reason of it being different from the regular crap bollywood releases! I must say it was a bit long... and the story was dragged on. If you are looking for dumb comedy and typical hey baby type of movie... then don't waste your money... go watch om shanti om... But if you are interested in watching something different... Id say watch it!! The newbies are great! The granda and Rani have good performances! And the humour is cute!!! Don't listen to the haters... they are just bitter cause they feel cheated of their money.. ! Watch it yrouself and make your own opinion about it!

A poor adaptation of a Russian classic! The movie starts with a "call for prayer", his lover (tenant) appears at the door while bending over in front of a mosques, both he and the actress has Muslim names, while her hand witting is in Urdu, the word "jaan" (meaning soul) is also written in Urdu on the wall, on the other hand, the male actor writes her name in Hindi!! After all, what is the need for adding so much Islamic elements into the movie? The woman is a carpet-waver, whereas, the movie shows she does not know even how to wave!! If as a director you chose to show something, show it properly, otherwise you will make a poor impression of your work. Even the morning light was shot in blue! What was the reason to do a poor projection of Dostoevsky's novel? I thought the movie had many obvious flaws. I am still scratching my head over the Islamic touch of the movie? I couldn't get the director's message. In general, I couldn't connect with the movie whatsoever.

-Rani's performance was beautiful. -The sets were amazing. -Few songs are really nice. -Storyline sucked big time. -I got totally disappointed starting from the beginning. I thought the movie was only to show off the sets, the two new-comers and the 3 good songs. My advice to others is: don't waste your time and money. And to Mr. SLB, don't waste your $, talent and your name on movies like these.

Pure crap. Very disapointing. Basically had no story watsoever! Nice songs but pointless! Half of the people were gone after the interval! Ranbir should improve his acting skills as in quit all the overacts. And for Sonam, forget about acting, first, she needs to learn how to smile without giving out the idea that she's faking it! Before I went to the thetare I heared people saying how bad the movie was but I thought people are just exaggerating. But I was sooo damn wrong! The weakesssttt was Sonam's characteri would have rated it 2, which I never do! But it prolly deserves 5 for 5 reasons and none of it includes the director, what a surprize! 1. BEAUTIFUL BREATHTAKING SET! 2. Symbolism 3. Zohra Sehgal 4. Rani Mukherjee 5. Ranbir's [...].

SLB movies are always good, specially the songs, acting and the sets... (even Salman for a change acted well +1 for that) The story was okay okay... it could have been better. SLB in the right sense takes the best shot an actor has to offer.
