Im a ballet dancer my self and I want to go professional I throughly enjoyed this movie its nice to see a movie with dance in it but still have a story line. This is one of my all time favorite movies even though the dancing isnt the clean and the dancers dont have the best technic and the video shoting is kinda of in the dancing part like just focusing on the face and stuff like that dosnt really work its kinda distracting. But anyways I would deffently recomend it even if your not into dancing it fun to watch. Me my self im planing to do the varation in it with the fouetese at the end probaly not as miney but still a few.

Hello! I check this movie and it's my favourite. It's a good movie that you can listen and listnen many time and the dancers are spendid. I want to be a great dancer and I think that the movie relate the reality of the life. It's all true and I think It's a good way to begin to think that is very hard to do this job. Thank you!!! As a Classical Musician-composer-arranger and teacher who at one time played and arranged rock music as well, I can without a doubt say that this film... though formulaic in total, depicts the trials and tribulations that I personally have wittnessed. That students of the arts "MUST" love that art for themselves is perfectly depicted with the mother and daughter dialogue. The music was simply wonderful... especially switching from classical to rock(my favorite genres) Of course, the film is NOT oscar material... not in the least. But it should give young people something to think about BEFORE entering such a demanding and competitive field. My students... mostly young females "LOVED" the film. Some of the guys did as well(smile) So... as far as I am concerned, this is a film mainly for those young people who might want to enter the world of Ballet. Who knows... maybe they can do a little "Tina Turner" intermixed with Prokoffiev... who knows? (smile) Thanks..

Well I loved the movie it is one of my favs!! I'm a ballet dancer myself and I am very alike to the Character Jody! Im always getting told to turnout and "use what I have" Jody inspried me to dance for myself wen she performed the dance at the end. I have now improved because of the movie! And I have to say Maureen is not the best dancer in the movie... she dances with her shoulders up and her upper body is poor... but then there is ChaRliE!! :P HOT AS EVER!! too bad his gay in real life though:(yeah so remember that life doesnt hold tryouts... dance to your fullest girls and boys!. love the movie ;)

Yeh I did watch Centre Stage n'i thought da movie was absolutely superb! Amanda Schull (Jodie Sawyer) was an excellent dancer even though she had a bit of trouble at first, not to mention very beautiful... Ethan Stiefel (Cooper Nielson) I think is so hot even though hardly any1 thinks he is... Sascha Radetsky (Charlie) is the hottest guy throughout da whole movie!!! He's so sxc!!! Eva was such a loyal friend to Jodie not to mention a fantastic ballerina even though Maureen's Mother didn't think so in the movie... Eric was a good ballerina too but it was very unfortunate that he had to twist his leg! Well those are the only actors and actresses I want to comment on but I thought every1 was really good! Well anyway... I recommend this movie to evry1 dat hasn't seen it n hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did!

I think center stage was one of the best ballet movies I have ever seen. It protrayed the life of a dancer and how hard we work... since I am a ballet dancer too... it tells other people that ballerinas rnt prissy stuck up people but what kind of challenge we face everyday.

Center Stage is the most AMAZING film and I have learnt all the dance moves from the dance at the end and went into a competition and won it with the exact dance!! I think charly is HOT! And a fabulous dancer I also think jodie was stupid to choose Cooper over Charley howeva she is a brilliant dancer and inspired me a lot with her last dance at the end of the film Eva is a great character and Dancer she has a great attutiude "Felt like the same old sh*t 2 me!! " and she is a great friend too Jodie! I also think Eric is very funny "Eric o Jones is my stage name after oprea she is my idol! " hehe, And Cooper is just a playa! But yet a fabulous Dancer! I Loved the film And have watched it 75 times since I got it which was about a month ago!! And I love the soundtrack especially the song Canned Heat by JK I recommend this song!! If anyone loves dancing they will love this film and if not there is a load of eye Candy ;) for guys and girls THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING FILM EVER!!!

I like it. It's a story about life. Whenever I watch it I get frustrated and motivated at the same time. I am so proud of what man can achieve through his passion and enthusiasm about his craft. The plot was presented in a shallow way but captured entirely significant human emotions. [...]

Center stage wasn't THAT bad. A regular chick flick, yawn! It had a little bit of hip-hop and jazz in it but other than that it was pure ballet! Why do all dance movies have to be about ballet there are other kinds like: tap, irish, jazz, musical theatre, to name a few.

Well, seems I'm the first guy to rate this movie; my girlfriend brought it home, and I said, "great, you've become my mother and rented yet another movie I've never heard of..." She retorted with, "Trust me, 'Fame-boy'". I laughed, (uneasily) , and then was thoroughly entertained for the next 2 hours--and by a movie about students of ballet of all things!!! The character development was FANTASTIC... lots of shades of grey, getting beyond surface impressions. I actually (shudder) got goosebumps in the movie's climax. I need a sequel, and I need it NOW. Except for the superbly-as usual-twisted Peter Gallagher, who WERE those fantastic young actors? And, I finally understood what my girlfriend meant by 'Fame-boy', as 'Fame' was one of my favourite shows when I was growing up... yes, this film is the modern 'All that Jazz', or 'Fame'... definitely a MUST SEE!!!
