Well done but a bit slow and glum... feels almost too "Canadian".

Interesting insight into the mind of the gambler. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a new favorite.

Excellent movie, great actors. Philip Seymour Hoffman is the best actor I've ever seen - We can see the sad side of the gambling : an obsession which never stops. I recommend this movie absolutely, I loved it very much.

Required viewing for any Gamblers Anonymous member. This movie is depressing almost from the beginning, but it soon becomes nauseating and ultimately almost too horrifying to watch. The fact that it's a true story only makes it that much more difficult. Philip Seymour Hoffman is probably one of the greatest living actors today, and should win an Oscar for his performance. All in good time. See this movie, then scrap your vacation to Vegas, I guarantee you won't want to set foot in another casino as long as you live.
