Incredible story! What a journey! Very interesting to see how lama's look for the reincarnation of other lama's. It is difficult for us in the west understand the life that they live. You can learn a lot from the movie...

This is an excellent documentary of the traditional Tibetan Buddhist process of discovering a "tulku", or reincarnated spiritual teacher. The power of this film comes from the sheer naturalness of it. There are no actors here, only actual Tibetan monks and householders, but the film is well paced and edited. The two central characters -- Tenzin Zopa, the young monk charged by the Dalai Lama to find the reincarnation of his recently deceased master (Lama Konchog, a famous lama who died in 2001 at age 84), and the little boy who is recognized as the reincarnation -- are both immensely appealing. The film works both as a fascinating inside look at the Tibetan tulku tradition, and as a moving character study of the connection between a young monk and a little boy.
