It makes you cry, it makes you laugh. The music is fabulous. By the end, you feel that you know Johnny Cash and June Carter intimately. A must see. Helpful, possibly, for anyone with addiction issues.

The story is great - painful rags to riches and personal growth - too much emphasis on the adulterous affair of Johnny Cash and June Carter but the consequences are also manifest re Johnny's first marriage/family. A great biography of a real life musical genius.

Walk The Line has now become one of my favorite movies, and I like alot of movies. I can't wait Till I get it then I can watch this awesome movie over and over again! I knew nothing about Johnny Cash or June Carter, I didn't even know who they were I am glad my parents took me to see it! Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon are two of my many favorites and now I can say that the two of them are in one of my favorite movies!

There wasn't a time when I was watching this movie that my feet weren't tapping, my eyes riveted to the screen, and my heart touched. Excellent flick!

This was an awesome movie. They really made you feel what the characters were feeling, not like some movies where you just pity them. I loved the talent displayed by Joaquin Pheonix and Reese Witherspoon. Who knew those two had those pipes? They make me want to learn how to sing. The thing I loved most about this movie is the fact that they didn't dumb it down or try to hide the real issues going on, like the drugs and the fact that he was quite promisquous on his tours. I love movies like that and I think this one is a real eye-opener. GO SEE THIS MOVIE! You won't regret it..

I think Reese Witherspoon was exceptional playing June Carter Cash. Her voice was so similar to June's that it was eerie. Joachim Phoenix did an excellent job of portraying Johnny Cash. They seemed so real in their acting that it was so hard to see that it was just a movie.

I'm a bit predjudiced because my favorite movies are those based on real life experiences. Wonderful music - I really got into it. Throughout the movie I found myself struggling to see the real Johnny Cash and June Carter as I remembered them which seemed to ruin the movie somewhat for me. Then, for at least two weeks after watching it, I found myself re-living scenes, thinking about their 'story', the struggles they faced and overcame; and the impact their music had on America at that time. It was then I realized the movie had really stirred something within me. I would definitely see it again and highly recommend it.

An excellent movie! So wonderful, it's incredible. I didn't know that they could capture the magic and spring of Johnny Cash on film. This movie is so well scripted and has SUCH a fantastic plot. It was terrific motion picture, I have bought 13 posters and am looking for more. This movie is definitely an exhilirating heart pounder and will stop you in your tracks, leaving you with the best possible impression. Casharium is my new religion.

I saw this on my way home on a flight - it was very enjoyable and I didn't really know that much about Johnny Cash before this - Seems like your typical Hollywood life story really. Very well done and I loved the two who played the main characters. Worth seeing for sure!

Excellent movie; gave me a real insite into Johnny's life and why he turned out the way he did; The movie did everything a movie should do; made me laugh and made me cry; Reese was so great in her depiction of June Carter. Will buy the DVD as plan to watch many times.

Well I didn't really know much about Johnny Cash or June Carter until I saw this movie, since seeing it I have bought Johnny Cash's book and downloaded a couple songs. I have recommended it to about 10 people who have all gone to see it as well and all loved it. Very good for all ages.

Best film of the year! Yes, they did there own vocals--which were amazing. But it was just a darn good movie. Well paced, my attention did not stray for a moment. A truly engaging film, well conceived, well executed.

Loved this movie but it ended too soon. I would have liked to have experienced some of the peace and happiness that the couple found not just a footnote about how long they lived happily ever after.

Very good movie with definite chemistry between Jacquin & Reese. Ultimately a love story between two people who were just "meant to be together" and all their twists & turns along the way. The movie storyline & directing keep it together and lively throughout, so it's guaranteed to entertain with no slow parts. If you weren't a big JC fan going in, the movie can't help but expand your musical horizons a little. Wouldn't have a problem if they both got oscars for some very fine performances.

After seeing this movie, I definitely have a new respect for Reese Witherspoon as an actor. Both leads were amazing in this film - you could see the chemistry between the two of them on-screen. Considering chemistry is rare even between off-screen couples, that's pretty impressive.

This movie was astounding. Months after seeing it, I am still remembering it. Joaquin and Reese created a sound like none other, I never knew of Johnny Cash before this movie, now I am fan. The Ray Charles movie doesn't even compare to this one. Well worth the time and money.

Awesome movie. Reminding us of the impact parents have on our lives and how we must learn to deal with it especially if it is negative. Reese Witherspoon was excellent as June and you felt the charisma between them. Bravo!

I knew nothing about Johnny Cash going in to this movie, beyond the choruses of a few of his songs. It was based on two autobiographical novels and produced by his son, so I suppose it is a fairly accurate representation. Joaquin Phoenix was fantastic as Johnny Cash, and Reese Witherspoon equally as good as his sassy love interest and later second wife, June Carter. I thought the movie depicted his struggles with meeting his father's approval and drugs quite well. What it didn't really show was very much about how he came to write the songs he wrote. I came away feeling like I really didn't like the man he was, and I didn't understand June Carter's willingness to put up with the garbage he put her through. She must have been a saint, or else there's a lot more to the story that wasn't told. I was completely impressed by Phoenix and Witherspoon's singing. In fact, they played a Cash/Carter duet during the credits and I found myself wishing it were done by the actors instead of the real people! The movie glossed over a lot (the music, the tour group, the relationships with his wife, June and his parents) - but overall it was a really well-acted, interesting movie. I would recommend it!

The impact that a parent's view of a child has so much influence on a child's life. Johnny Cash's terrible problems were a result of his father's negative influence on him His father's alcoholism caused terible consequences in his life. His own dependence on drugs were a direct cause of his view of himself. Fortune and fame are a poor replacement for love and acceptance. He was blessed in finding a woman who loved him and saw the good in him that he couldn't see for himself. This movie excellently & poignantly told of Johnny Cash's life.
