My toes started tapping at the first song, and rarely did they stop! So much of the movie is Johnny up on stage, doing his thing, which is why he's such a legend! Pheonix makes you believe he's Cash, down to the look in his eyes!

I enjoyed Johnny Cash's music but would not consider myself a huge fan. I knew that he had faced many struggles in his life and was curious about him so was drawn to see the movie."Walk the Line" told his compelling story and Phoenix and Witherspoon had lots of chemistry which made the relationship between Johnny and June come alive on screen!

This is one of the best films to come out in years. For once, a movie lives up to its press clippings. Superbly acted, this biography of a love story and personal struggle will leave you touched in so many ways.

I found this movie to be very moving in a positive way. I knew nothing of Johnny Cash (just a little before my time) but I was interested in the story and I was not disappointed. The story of Mr. Cash and June Carter was very sweet. (a great love story) I am not surprised the movie has gotten high ratings. The actors are fantastic and the film was a joy.

My parents listened to Johnny Cash when I was a little girl and I never thought anything of it. When I saw the preview I thought "oh yeah big deal" I LOVED IT!! This was the best MOVIE I have seen in a LONG LONG time... I love it some much I can't stop talking about it and I am thinking about going to see it again with another friend. I bought the CD that Joaquin and Reese made and I listen to it ever day in my car! I am definitely buying the movie when it comes out! A must see!

Definite one of my favorite movies. Johnny Cash is one of the greatest singers of all time and Joaquin Phoenix portrayed him so well. Joaquin does all his own singing and sounds just a hair away from Johnny Cash. It's a beautiful, sad, and funny movie. Go see it now if you haven't already!

This movie is definitely "a must see". I thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me smile, cry and tap my feet to the music. The performances by Joachim Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon were outstanding! Wow! What a wonderful escape.

Even though I was not familiar with Johnny Cash's life I found that this movie did a great job in portraying it and Joaquin Pheonix and Reece Witherspoon did an incredible job with their acting as well as voices. (At first I didn't believe it when someone told me they sang all the songs in the movie) The only thing was that they had focused more on Johnny Cash's early years and I believe they cut out half of his life basically. ( I guess the early years were more dramatic and entertaining) But it was still very enjoyable and a very AWESOME movie. And definitely a real thumbs up to the actors, I never thought either of them had that much talent.

Phoenix truly channels Johnnie Cash. I'm not a country music fan, but I still found myself absorked in the love story. Reese Witherspoon is amazing and the storyline holds you from minute one until the lights go up. A winner!

Joaquin Phoenix did a fantastic job of imitating Johnny Cash both in mannersisms and in his singing style (those who believe that Mr. Cash did a voice over might be better served comparing the sound track to Johnny Cash's recordings) I was delighted by Reese Witherspoon's portrayal of June Carter. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and would invite others to check it out in theatre showing rather than waiting for DVD release. ALMOST as good as "Ray".

Excellent, I was very impressed with the accuraccy of the film and I would have like to hear more of John Cash's songs, but time is a factor in movies and unfortunately something has to be cut. Well done and hope to see it on dvd.

For Country Music Fans, this is taking a trip down memory lane, from spotting Elvis, to Waylon and Orboson. The movie illustrates the timeline that those musicians came from - and how this is not just a job, but a lifestyle. The movie also helps to portray how monetary attachment to possessions is not that same as Love - that freindship through thick and thin is!

I found the film just ok. It is true that the actors did a great job with accents and stuff, but I found it tooo slow. I thought it was a little more like Ray and maybe it was my mistake. However, it is a good movie and personaly I got to know Jonny because of the movie.

As someone who has heard of Jonny Cash, but didn't really know that much about his music or life, I found this movie very interesting. Would reccomend to anyone, (unless you are not a music lover, there is a lot of singing) I just feel bad that it took this movie to get me interested in this amazing artist.

As a life-long Johnny Cash fan, I found that this movie, to its detriment, concentrated on one aspect of his life: his use of drugs and alcohol. Center the story of anybody's life around that person's faults and the result will be inaccurate and misleading. Also, probably in order to appeal to a wider audience, the soundtrack centered around his rockabilly music, which is good, but Johnny's more typical down-to-earth country songs such as "Give My Love To Rose" or "Sunday Morning Coming Down" were ignored. Fortunately for the movie, Johnny Cash's real voice overdubbed Joachim's in most of the movie. The latter's voice is not at all in the same class. My advice: wait for a remake!

Amazing movie! I've always listened to Johnny cash ever since my parents introduced it to me when I was young and this movie made me love his music even more. He had a rough life, and Joaquin Phoenix was incredible as Johnny and really sunk into the character. Reese Witherspoon was also a very very good June Carter. I really like the fact that these two sang their own songs in the movie, and didn't lip-synch Johnny and June's original voice. It makes it even more personal. So go out and see this movie, NOW!

The acting is superb - Oscar worthy for both. The supporting cast was excellent. I was left conflicted about this man Cash and his love for June - but that's what a great film does... it doesnt draw any conclusions just expresses the truth. Direction was well done. The screenplay was great - Reese delivers memorable one-liners (a tribute to June's onstage sassy personality) Joaquin Phoenix ( he always shines in his perfomances) does a mind blowing job of portraying Cash... even Cash would have to be proud. Joaquin pulls you far within Cash's personal hell and torment - I thought Phoenix wouldn't come back. The Oscar please! Golden Globe please! Etc.. Go see it - the music was real loud in the theater but hey its Johnny Cash - its like train coming at ya... either jump on or jump out of the way!

This movie was phenominal! I was completely impressed with Joaquin's performance. It was so easy to feel part of the movie and fall into the story line. Easy to follow, and even my date got teary-eyed. An emotional rollercoaster. Nothing was overplayed or dramatized. It's been too long for a movie of this calibre to hit the screens. Worth every penny... I'm going to see again... in the theater.

What a fascinating movie! Superb acting, plus they do their own singing which was fabulous and the story of his life was SO INTERESTING!! What struck me most of all, however, was the incredible love Cash had for June Carter... that alone made the movie worth watching. Love like that doesn't come along every day. Heartwarming!

I think that Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix did an amazing job. John and Junes shoes are some hard ones to fill, and I think they did it well. I see Oscar all over this one. If you haven't see it yet, go and see it. I don't think you'll regret it.

Have always liked Johnny Cash and the songs he sang. Was surprised to find out my favour sing was actually written by June! Reese is one of my favorite actresses and her chemistry in this movie really make it for me. Found Joaquin acting a bit weak but Reese picked up the slack. Not only are they talented actors - they did an awesome job in singing too! Though the movie covered many darker issues of Johnny's life - it's good to know we all have a 2nd chance at living right.

I loved this movie. It cleared up a lot of misconceptions about Johnny Cash and it certainly brought to light a lot of what I never knew about him and June Carter. Direction was perfect and the actors were brilliant. I can't get over that Joaquin and Reese sang the songs themselves. Great chemistry. Three people went to that show (21 years old, 52 years old and 75 years old) and we all recommend it.

Wow. This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. In alot of the user review's a good portion of people didn't know a thing about Johnny Cash, some never heard of him, but I (who am only 17, jeez, get with the program guys! ) did know who he was and lots about him, and I thought it was perfect. People complain that it was long, but all that happened in Johnny's life and it just adds to the story and makes it more real. This movie was phenomenal, can't wait to buy the soundtrack!! R. I. P. Johnny.
