The music was great, overall a very good movie. The only comment I would have on the negative side is that I found it rather long, almost longer than necessary. Some aspects, such as the things Johnny did, were made prominent, but kept being reviewed over and over again rather than moving on. Overall, an excellent movie.

Good movie! Made me discover Johnny Cash, which, believe or not, had never heard of before this movie. Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon do a great job, especially with the singing, which is all them!

If you know who Johnny Cash was you'll love it. We (My girlfriend and I) didn't have a clue what he sung or who he was. We were dancing in our seats, beatboxing, banging our knees to the beats of his music. A must see for anyone who thinks our music today is civilized. The man was a determined genious, who in the outcome made people love him for him for his music. R. I. P. Johnny Cash.

Fantastic movie! Joaquin and Reese do an absolutely AMAZING job of portraying Johnny and June. They have excellent chemistry which adds to the depth of the movie. Who knew they could sing like that?!!! They should go on tour. A MUST BUY soundtrack!!!

Besides all the movies based on singers lives this was by far the best movie out there. I've seen alot of biographies and this was great. Even if you really had no clue who Johnny Cash was you definitely figured it out afterwards. The only thing I thought the movie could of put in was of Johnny and June's life after they got together finally. This was a great love story of the two of them. I definitely recommend this one.

I enjoyed the movie, it had great acting... but I think it was a bit too long and slowed down a certain parts... in my opinion its definitely not worth the fuss the critics are giving it... wait for it to come out on dvd.

Phenomenal acting, both definitely deserve Oscar nominations. You cannot feel for Johnny Cash and the demons that he lived with. Proves that people can make many mistakes yet still find salvation.

Joaquin Pheonix and Reese do a PHENOMENAL job of portraying Johnny and June. They have great chemistry and make you appreciate the story of the real life individuals they portray that much more.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This movie was excellent. Phoenix and Witherspoon did amasing jobs Portraying Johnny Cash and June Carter. My favorite part of the movie is when Johnny is playing at the prison and he stood up and did that gig even though he was told not to.

The actors are amasing in this movie. It would have been nice to see a bit more into the complete life of Johnny and June but overall, an amasing movie. The singing is impressive when you know the actors did it themselves.

This was a good movie, totatly entertaining, but there was something missing, I am a big Cash fan, but was expecting much more, there is certainly more to this story than was shown, but overall its worth seeing.

Amazing. Joaquin is such a brilliant actor and I hope this movie will bring him the recognition he deserves. Reese also does an outstanding acting job as June Carter. I liked seeing her do something other than use that charm of hers. There was depth to her performance and I have a new found respect for her. I have only recently, in the last year or so, discovered the beauty that is Johnny Cash and his music. This film just solidified my interest in this "Man in Black" and I loved the music in the film. It was eerie at times how much Joaquin embodied Cash, with just a look or a word, it was like seeing Johnny. Kudos to all involved in this film and I recommend it to everyone. It's a MUST SEE.

This is a must see! You don't have to like country music to see this movie. Joaquin Phoenix deserves an Oscar. You are glued from begining to the end. I learned about some things that I didn't know about Johnny Cash.

Well, I went into the movie wanting to know more about the man who so emotionally covered a popular Nine Inch Nails song but what I got from this movie was so much more than a biography. Not only could Reese belt out the tunes, but her acting was amazing. JP was excellent as well. As far as a lot of the other *cookie cutter* films out there, this one goes up and beyond and is entertaining throughout.

Walk the Line leaves you feeling an unusual sensation, at least as far as current movies go: You feel as if you've gotten your money's worth when it comes to entertainment and drama. Johnny Cash sang like he meant business... Walk the Line, with its dead-on performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, helps you understand that quality.".

Phoenix and Reese capture this movie and recreate it perfectly. Definitely recommend everyone to see it-even if you aren't a huge fan of cash (I don't know much of his life or songs)

I didn't recognise a single song, and I loved the movie simply for its story and the interpretation of the actors. Cash's life seems a bit ordinary (well told, but almost mundane given the context. ) I found that the glimpse into June Carter's life was more interesting. The double standard she faced, as well as her inner strength and incredible moral compass are even more fascinating than Cash's "sex, divorce, drugs and rock&roll" story. It's also interesting to note that the story would have been entirely different if told from the point of view of the children of his first marriage.

A really good movie to go see in the theatre's. Both Joaquin and Reese are very good in there roles. If the movies had a dance floor I think people would get up and dance too. A movie not to miss.

It definitely wasn't what it was cracked up to be. Everyone made it out to be such an amazing film. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, the ending was cut short and ended kinda abruptly, but it was good. It was good to be able to see all the singing and know that it was all done by the acots themselves, none of this lip crap! Good Movie, but not a 10!

An amazing movie perfectly acted out by the cast. There will be at least one Oscar handed out for this movie, more than likely two. Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix both sang the characters songs and had powerful performances. A must see!

Can anybody say "Ray"? Essentially the same movie... both musicians had rough childhoods, both cheated on their wives, both abused narcotics... It was a good movie, but throughout the film, I kept thinking that I had seen it before... totally predictable. If it wins an Oscar, look for other formulaic musician films to be mass-produced.

Not only is the music great, but Johnny Cash's life story is also amazing. It's always interesting to see a person who has such drive ingrained in them and see it play out. The acting was excellent, the singing something else and the chemistry between Cash and June Carter something to behold. For Johnny Cash fans, country fans and generally music fans, this is a must see.

A perfrectly crafted film. The history of the music and Johnny Cash are fascinating. The performances are brilliant, especially that of Joaquin Phoenix. He should get an award for this. A film not to be missed!

I have never been a Johnny Cash fan... in fact the total opposite. I never really liked him. I have never seen a Joaquin Phoenix movie either and only seen Reese Witherspoon in the Legally Blonde flicks that I was forced to watch by my granddaughter in a small cabin in the woods in Missouri! But... this movie totally captured me... and my heart. Unlike RAY where it was basically the Jamie Foxx show, Walk The Line isn't the Joaquin Phoenix show... it's a collaboration and a beautifully set one at that. The chemistry between the two of them is spell binding. I will and have seen it again! And, I bought the soundtrack CD. A fan of Johnny Cash's yet? No, I don't think so, but I am a fan of a well produced movie and this certainly shines on all levels.

This is a very good movie... with better casting... it could have been so much more... I don't think Phoenix was believable as Cash, and I don't (too small in stature).. His acting did not put it across for me... the story was terrific, could have been so much more... too bad... still worth watching... I read all the marvellous reviews... don't know what they went to see...

Once and a while, you go to a movie that you know was touched by something unexplainable. Those moments where your spine tingles tells you something. A shear joy to watch. Even if your not a JC fan, you'll just feel good about going to the movie! Take your date.
