Great movie!!! I've lost count of how many times I have seen it and I hope to see it again. It's a great movie to see with your mom. I LOVED the songs. I can't get them out of my head.

Yup, I hate musicals. It's like someone said: "I have an idea for a movie, but can only think up enough material to make 10 mins of screen time. I know! We can make the actors SING it all! Voila! 2 hour movie!"

This movie would have been better if it was not a musical.

When I see a musical, I expect the singing to be good from all the performers. Pierce Brosnan couldn't sell a song to save his life! I was cringing and people in the audience were laughing anytime he opened his mouth to sing. Other singers were generally fine, but you have to sit through Pierce for about 15 minutes in this movie.

Hard to suspend disbelief that Meryl is young enough to HAVE a daughter this age (if she was supposed to have been young and spirited herself when she had the kid.) Other than that though this is a great movie full of hysterically funny moments and fantastic dare-you-not-to-sing-along music. Don't miss it!!

A fun and light hearted movie. I suggest it as a Saturday matine, and you must like Abba or at least that style of music. So... If you love Abba, see it at the cinema. If not, wait for the DVD.

The movie was good, the story line plot etc... but there might have been a little bit too much singing, that it began to eat into the story. All in all a great see and worth the price of admission.

I expected much more from this movie. A more interesting plot line, more laughs but it was mostly cheesy and predictable. I know it is a musical but still too much singing, the boring kind (not the funny like in hairspray) An okay chick flick at most.

Its cute and funny... I came out of the theatre wanting to dance. Its cheesy in parts (Pierce Brosnan singing is just strange) It is a lighthearted movie meant to make you feel good and it does.

Amazing film from start to finish. I have lost count how many times I've watched it and listened to the soundtrack. Fantastic acting, singing awesome, award performances from Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Colin Firth and all the cast. Beautiful scenery. Good storyline, warm hearted, funny, just makes you get up and sing. Absolutely love this film. I hope they get something out of this as it it took alot for them all to sing in this and is the best movie ever.

Nice little feel good movie that tugs on the emotions especially during the final 15 minutes. The story would have been great even without the music as a backdrop. There were a few big negatives for me though. I found that the actual music delivery by the actors was weak which for a musical is quite a letdown. If you can get by that, then I can see how so many people would give this movie a 9.

Hi there. I'm an Aussie that has relocated to Canada. I saw the movie in Oz but missed the ending. Why you ask? I got up out of my seat and motivated the majority of the viewing audience to get up and dance. They loved it and it will always be to most memorable movie that we have ever attended. Granted children under 12 thought their parents were behaving oddly. I am now flying to San Francisco mid-September to see this "The movie of the Year" again and hopefully motivate the audience to get up, dance, truly enjoy the film and create a memory to proudly tell their children about!! Go see it as soon as you can. Live YOUR dream. I do every day!!

It was a really good show. All of the problems, and situations broke out into singing. If you like a musical, you will like this show, and also if you like Abba's music.

This was such a bad musical. I have to admit people were laughing, but they were laughing at how horrible the acting was a especially when Pierce Brosnan started to sing. It was so bad. I can hardly wait for his new Christmas CD. Just kidding that would way to funny. Do not waste your time and your money on this one. You would be better to go play bingo or something along those ways.

Best movie I've ever seen... I hated ABBA in the 70's, didn't listen to their music, hated their costumes and the fact that they sang phonetically... But this is the best time I've ever had at a movie. The whole audience enjoys it, everyone leaves feeling up and is smiling and singing. Seen it four times, and planning on another one. It doesn't seem like a musical, there is enough balance of music and dialogue and dance... just right... take your mom, your sister, your best friend, your aunt... over and over again. Am awaiting the subtitled 'karaoke' version. Hope this one is in my Christmas stocking.
