What a fantastic story. What makes it even better is the fact that it is based on the true story. Hitler really had a Golden Spoon in his mouth. Tom Cruise is very convincing in this role. A great movie all around. If you're a history buff, you'll like it even more than the average Joe.

Tom Cruise played a believable character. The bombing scenes near the beginning were realistic. As a piece of history it is good, as a movie it is okay but not great. The plot at times became a little hard to follow. A good movie to see on DVD, then you will save yourself the aggravation of people crackling paper and chomping on popcorn.

I've always been a fan of war movies and I enjoyed this one in its entirety. Even though I'm not a big fan of Cruise I thought he did a more than decent job of the role. Bravo!

I really didn't have very much expectations when going to see this movie. I am not a Tom Cruise fan at all and I don't think that he can act. This movie met my expectations so I guess that I can't complain about that. I knew what it was about and I had to eat some smarties to try and stay awake. Cruise was not suited for this role at all. He was quite wooden and should have never played the main character. My friend paid for my way and we both agreed that this wasn't a movie that we would have paid for either at the theater nor to rent. He said that he would watch it on TV if there was absolutely nothing else to watch. I'm not sure if I would watch it even then.

A breath of fresh air from hollywood. Contrary to hollywoods usual formuala this movie is historically accurrate. Nice to see German soldiers trying to defuse Hitler, as opposed to marching like cold heartless blue eyed zombies as they are usually portrayed. The movies dialogue is performed in English without accents, so at times you have to remind yourself that these guys trying to kill Hitler were real, honest to goodness, living Germans.

I don't know the whole story, the history behind the nazis and germany, but it displayed a strong group against the worst for mankind. Good job of displaying it.

A solid effort. Cruise hasn't the panache of Indiana Jones and this is a sombre, reflective treatment of the courage of a remarkable man. Consistent with the paranoia that Hitler inspired and manipulated, this conspiracy 'action-thriller' is directed with a moody wariness that unsettles. Cruise is rigid, even harsh in his interpretation of Von Stauffenberg. The net effect is chilling and the story of his fellow conspirators is underplayed. There were many truly remarkable German resisters. Check into the courageous story of Hans and Sophie Scholl, university students who founded the White Rose cell, and died protesting Nazi tyranny.

It was filled wit a lot of what I think was heart felt hate, disgust, love and much more. There was plenty of dramma in it and it did lead up to my expectations, but only made it, no further. Good movie, helps you about the past and makes you stop and think.

This was a great movie period. The only reason I can see of people disliking it, is becasue of Tom Cruise hate. [...] The script has already been enacted 60+ years ago but the acting, cinematography, attention to detail, flow of the story are EXCELLENT. This movie should definitely go up for oscar contender and I urge everyone not in 'zombie (rollercoaster movie) mode' to check this one out.

We all know the outcome of the movie but it is worth seeing the effort they put in to kill Hitler. I'm not a fan of Mr. Cruise but I have to admit that he plays his role very well. He kept me on the edge of my seat.

Good solid acting with a fine cast. The only odd part is the english accents for german officers and Tom Cruise speaking with an American accent but regardless; it is still an interesting picture and worth seeing.
