Maybe it was everyone telling me not to see this movie but I actually liked it. It did drag a little but worth seeing.

Ever heard of the movie Pinnochio? This is a rehash of Bicentenial Man, Pinnochio and D. A. R. Y. L. That all have it's roots in man's inhumanity to himself by trying to make himself immortal through other means. Truly not a "Scary" movie as some have portrayed but rather depressing, not sad. Don't dwell on this one too long or you might actually think that this film has some merit.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] A wonderful film, absolutely heartbreaking story. Haley Joel Osmond was amazing, his face at the bottom of the ocean wanting what he can never have still haunts me.

Movie is full of surprises... just when you thought it was over... I waited till the dvd came out... then till it cost a dollar to rent... worth the money I say... a must see.

I saw this movie awhile back on CBC and I have to say, it was THE scariest movie I have EVER seen--and Horror movies are generally my thing. No, this movie beats out The Shining, The Exorcist, Saw, ANYTHING... if you want a good scare, that is. On the movie scale itself... Ehhh... Not so good.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Well acted. Interesting concept. Impact would have been more effective if movie ended when David sunk to the bottom of the water and encountered his "princess".

Contains some touching moments; the concept is not so bad...

Great movie, I actually cried at the ending, and I'm a grown 23 year old man. The movies that emotionally touched me were, Gladiator, the lion king, & million dollar baby.

A little strange, a bit weird, but a good show nonetheless. I thought the special affects were good. The story was unique. Dragged a bit and was slow in parts but overall I really enjoyed this film.

Having myself to be not into the psychological kind, I really found this movie to be touching and really good except wasn't crazy about the ending which I found to be long and draggy otherwise it would be noted to be in the top ten rating.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This movie is excellent in my opinion. I believe Spielberg did a good job with Kubrick's story. However the ending is what gets the most complaints.

Horrible... not only did this movie stretch the metaphysical understandings of what is a person it glorified robots which are in turn just computers... hated it.

It was an amazing movie. I found that it was quite long, yet I still wanted to keep watching. I haven't seen it in a long time, but I will watch it again sometime.

I thought it was wonderful, a cross between "ET" and "Close Encounters".

I was afraid to watch this one because I thought it would be a ET / Pinnochio - type fluffy movie. It's dialouge brings up questions pertaining to the darker side of the human condition, love and what really defines 'human' in real depth. I think you might have to have some kind of parental bond to relate and get the most out of this movie. Nice touch with the supertoy bear. Classic material.

I am known to be a person who enjoys movies that are darker in nature. But I had friends who thought the movie was not dark enough. It's true that the movie ended the way Spielberg wanted since Kubrick allowed him. Still, I thought the movie dealt with the dark side of human nature, while retaining sentiment. I guess I do like some warm and fuzzy plots in movies.
