It is a great movie that should be seen. I was so touch my the actor and how he played his role. Small details in the movie and in Adam's character were very reliable. Very sensitive and calm movie with no stress and angry while watching it.

Stumbled into this movie by accident... and it turned out to be one of the best films I've seen in a long time. Go see it! Beautiful story.

A great story, endearing characters, excellent acting. Also pleasantly thought-provoking about love and relationships. I highly recommend it.

I thought it was perfect representation of Asberger's syndrome. As I have it I found myself understanding his point of view very easily. It had an odd affect on me cos after I saw it I kept on acting like Adam. My own Asberger's is a bit more improved these days and it took awhile to feel like myself again.

An excellent film, very thought provoking and not the typical paint-by-numbers relationship movie.

Saw this and we have a child with autism so related to parts. Some was unrealistic characteristics as a move for someone with aspergers is hard and to go on own is not realistic of this type of person. Loved how he ate mac and cheese all the time and took everything at face value.

Being familiar with autism and similar disorders I was impressed on how true to reality the movie was. It shows the difficulty of living with autism or similar disorders. No big unrealistic hollywood style ending. Actors were great and so was the plot.

This may not be a perfect movie. It has some flaws, but the overall feel of it, and the lead performance by Hugh Dancy as Adam makes it an excellent, must see movie! I honestly believe that Dancy should be seriously considered for an Oscar nomination for best performance by an actor in a lead role. This is a sweet movie with heart and laughs. The accompanying score and soundtrack help complete the magical feel. It's a great New York love story that really makes you think about the things that matter most when it comes to love... and life. Go see Adam, a small scale movie with big scale heart! 9/10... another example of a movie that Hollywood needs to make more of... lots more!

Good little movie. Both principal actors are excellent, especially Rose Byrne. Makes you think about differences in people, what is truth, relationships, etc.

Brilliantly and sensitively played by the main actor. The movie shows the difficulties of coping with Asperger syndrome, but also shows some of the positive aspects, too.

Best of the summer, very informative, very human and truly explanatory of a person who possibly suffers from the condition of Azberger's syndrome. Unfortunately, the review is lacking as to the quality of the story, hope you could correct that for patrons who have not seen this movie as yet.

It was a learning experience about a symptom that hasn't been dealt with before. Because of Adam's condition, the funny moments came as a result of things being said because he didn't know diffently. Beth helps Adam to come out of his shell and as a result of having spent time with her, he was able to grow towards self-dependence and it ended satisfactorily.

From writer, director and producer Max Mayer (Better living), comes this story about Adam, a handsome, brilliant but very lonely man who is a pro on any subject related to outer space! ; But Adam has ' Asperger's Syndrom'-A form of autism! Adam Rakky (cleverly played by Hugh Dancy) develops a very special relationship with his upstairs neighbour, Beth Butchwald (played by Rose Byrne)-A writer who also works as a teacher in a kindergarden. Beth is heart broken from her past relationship. Despite Adam's mental handicapt, the two of them connect both emotionally and physically and Beth helps Adam through his job hunt, teaching him the appropriate techniques of job interviews. Beth is highly discouraged against their relationship by her father who has been sentenced to five years in prison for frauding his company! The characters of Beth and Adam are both very loveable and thanks to them and the story itself, we tend to really get involved with their lives and their very curious and complicated relationship! ; Also, there's a good lesson to be learned from this heart-warming tale which reminds me in many ways of Ron Haword's 'A beautiful mind' with Russel Crowe and Jennifer conelly which won the oscar for best movie in the year 2001! If you want to know what that lesson is, you should see this movie cause I recommend it to all ages! Also starrying in 'Adam' is Peter Gallagher as Marty Butchwald (Beth's father) and Amy Irving as Rebecca Butchwald (Beth's mother)! See you at the movies!
