A great movie, very, very well done, on a difficult subject... yet entertaining!

Anything to do with yoga = the best movie I ever saw.

An enjoyable doc which succeeds at digging at a deep topic with just the right dose of humour and light-heartedness. Insightful gems reveal themselves through succinct interviews which, for me, were more enlightening than the subject's journey itself. I found parts of the narrative a little too cheesy for my liking.

No other commenters? Am I the only yoga "practitioner" who saw this and has an opinion? Well, then I hereby boldly step into the void. This is a sympathetic foray into the modern yoga movement, which doesn't shy away from also showing some of the wacky and flaky aspects. Yes, there are flaky weirdos who do yoga, and yes if you practice hard you will achieve a level of physical well-being that is hard to match in other forms of exercise. If you are seeking "enlightenment" from yoga, you will encounter all manner of people with opinions on what to do about it. Some opinions will be useful, others not so useful. Iyengar talks about savouring the nectar of the postures, and I can personally attest that I have indeed savoured the nectar of many practices for most of the following day, and that this experience is worth the effort.
