High expectations, low results. Jeremy Piven does ok as the lead character but most of comedy falls flat.

From the trailer it seemed like it had potential to be very funny. Unfortunately all the funny parts were in the trailer. Do not watch this unless you like to punish yourself. Save yourself the frustration and just watch the Hangover again if you want a crude comedy.

Taking an analogy from the script, this movie takes a shot-gun approach to comedy. They aim in the general direction of funny and spray out the jokes, and hopefully a few hit the target. This left the movie lame as way too many jokes were pathetic and even stupid. Too many themes went no where. Things that make you say lame include the man band, the jumping without a parachute, the boy in his 40’s as well as the girl who has a crush on him. At best, Piven's acting made the Character annoying.

Certainly not as bad a some people are making it out to be. Not a horrible movie by any means. No worse than the usual by the number comedies released by Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler. It made me laugh pretty much throughout and I recommend it to anyone who wants a quick cheap laugh.

Quite easily the funniest movie I've seen this year. Non-stop laughs and one of the best cameos you'll ever see. Can't figure out why people don't like this? [...] Jermey Pivens is a delight!

A complete waste of time. There are many talented people in Hollywood. Unfortunately, none of them worked on this film.

The only reason I wanted to see this is because I love Jeremy Piven in Entourage. But this was perhaps one of the worst comedies I've seen in quite a while. Terrible storyline and acting from all involved with some ridiculous slapstick moments that were off code and target mostly. Avoid seeing this is you want to be entertained.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Just plain stupid. Had no point to it. It was very pointless to see. I want my money back. You already knew what was going to happen when a different scene came. One part was that he went walking and he was in the middle of the desert. Did not make scence. Thats my opinion.

Terrible - I love Jeremy Piven but this was the worst movie I have ever seen. If I didn't have popcorn, I would have left.

Sooo funny Wow what a movie everyone needs to see this movie I recommend that anyone over 30 shouldn't see this movie. In my honest opinion this movie is for teens cuz theres alot of sexual themes that some people might find offense. So I would recommend this movie to teens that want comedy.

Could not stop laughing. One of the funnyist if not best comedy of the year.

Do you have any self-respect? Do not go see this movie. It wasn't just boring. The stupid scenes and the ridiculous speeches made it extremely annoying. It was torture. I really had a difficult time watching it. I am certain the actors did not want to see themselves in this movie.

Even considering that everyone in the audience was at least 35 years younger, I still can safely say that this movie is a complete waste of time. There are enough good comedians in it, but unfortunately the material is not funny at all, everything is very predictable, and boring. A few naked bodies and lots of sex innuendos are not enough to save this one.

Had it's moments but was a fairly typical, run-of-the-mill, basic premise comedy. You will have some laughs but not much more.

This movie was just horrible. Worst comedy movie we have seen this year. A complete waste of time.

This movie was ok. If you are a salesman, which I am you will like it a lot. If you are not then you probably should wait for it at the video store.

I expected more. I hate it when all the funny parts are in the previews and that was the case with this movie. It was ok but not great.

This movie had a few good laughs. I was hoping for this movie to be extremely funny, but no joy in that department.

This film is a perfect example of the banal depravity that passes for cinema in Hollywood these days. Save your time and money for something more worthwhile (which, in this case, would mean almost any other movie in existence)

If you really like the comedy movie, this one might be yours. I have seen the Hanging over film, and manys like it, and most say how brilliantly this one does!! Yoah zaoee~

Wow, wasn't impressed at all. I love Jeremy Piven in Entourage as Ari Gold. He plays a similar character in "The Goods" but the writing for him just wasn't as good. Just about every laugh sequence was pre-played in the previews. 5 - So so, worth it if you don't pay.

This movie is just plane awesome. No weak spots nothing. This movie is like the movies Step brothers, Walk hard :the story of Dewey Cox but not Talladega Nights (that movie was aweful)! Just to say this is great stuff!

Not so bad, good laugh overall. A bit predictable for my taste. Though for me, one of the major negative points turned out to be the random apparition of Will Ferrell... I just see that guy, doesn't even need to open his mouth and I hate him.

Lame. The jokes weren't funny, a lot of the parts were corny, and all in all, the movie was predictable.

Movie was hilarious. It kept me in stitches the entire way through. My stomach muscles were in a great deal of pain by the end of it because I was laughing so hard. The plot is very simple, it doesn't try to be anything special, but I think that is what made it so good. The Goods is definitely a movie meant for people with a certain sense of humor (you know what I mean) For those of you who are easily offended, you might want to sit this one out. It's outrageous at times, yet at others the film is actually quite witty. Great, great cast, and I mean Neal Brennan was directing. I honestly can't say a single bad thing about this movie.

Jeremy Piven was absolutely hilarious... the directors could've done a better job shortening some scenes but overall it was very funny.

Starts off good, familiar plot, familiar characterizations. Som really good lines & scenarios, but it looks like they fired the writers 3/4 of the way in. Could have been a really good movie - but is just a time filler.

For the first time in awhile not all of the funny parts were used up in the previews. I had some good laughs. I agree not as good as The Hangover but worth the watch.

So many funny lines its hard to remember them all when you walk out of the theatre. Storyline was somewhat lackluster but the humour distracted you from it. Also the movie was quite short like 90 minutes or so I would've enjoyed another half hour. However theres always something happening to keep you interested and a great cameo by an actor I hope everyone Will recognize.

I'm lost for words. Funny preview clips, first three minutes,... maybe two. This movie is 'ballzy' in taking cinema to a new level of," let's see to what level of poor acting, awful writing, and lack of an intelligent story line we can package, market, and still make money out of it." Wow. This certainly took it one step farther than any other I have ever seen.
