I went to watch it not knowing what to expect. I was surptrised at how fast the movie went considering how long it was. The special effect were beautiful and very well done, although I prefer movies who are more real life. The movie had a storyline to it, but I just have a hard time getting interested when I know that it is more science fiction than real life. Still glad I went to see it thought since I knew it was a hit movie but I just wouldn't go watch it again.

It's Fern Gully meets Dances With Wolves. Both my boyfriend and I could barely sit through it. The ending could not have been more predictable.

I think the movie avatar was amazing! I loved the detail and the whole structure. I liked how it seemed so real, like I was actually there too. It was so sad, when they distroyed their home like that. Cutting down trees just for riches. But anyway I thought it was incredible, I would recommend anyone to watch it! :)

10 it is, just great, pictures, 3D effects, and just the wonderfull world they created is worth the tickets, plus I like how you get to see both side (mentality)of the medals, the one that wants to "progress" and develop and the side of the native who just want to be pretty much, nothing really new in this movie, just make you want to live there, and I can't say that about a lot of movies... a MUST see, 3D or not.

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Very good movie, best part is the special effects. Critically I would have given it an 8 out of 10, but I enjoyed it so much I'll give it a 9 (overall enjoyability was 10, so I gave it the average)

Avatar, record making, box office hit and had wonderful reviews from many famous newspapers. This great movie took eight years to make and had great director James Cameron. This sci-fi movie had a lot of action and a lot of suspense; it kept you at the edge of your seat from the start of the movie to the end. The movie begins with Paraplegic war veteran; Jake Sully is brought to another planet called Pandora in place of his brother with the promise of getting his legs back if he helps the government on a mission. Pandora is inhabited by a primitive race called the Navi and Jake is sent in to learn their ways so that he can help relocate them and the humans can take over. Sorry can't tell you the rest, have to see it yourself.

I just saw it for a third time yesterday. I still had the experience that I had when I first saw it. I loved everything about this movie. From the story line to the most amazing visuals ever seen in a movie. Everyone must see this movie is 3D. I can't imagine what it would be like in normal. This is the only way to see it. If you haven't go and buy your Avatar tickets to the biggest movie theater in your town, the bigger the screen, the better the experience. However, I will sort of sad when it comes out on Blu Ray. The visuals looked so real that you felt you were there. With it on your smaller screens it's not going to be nearly as good. I'm trying to see it as many times as I can while in theaters. But overall, this is the biggest movie in history no doubt. If you have not seen it, go to it now!

Movie was a complete masterpiece! James Cameron got robbed blind at the oscars, how could you compare the hurt locker to this movie? I praise Cameron for the unique attention to detail and originallity to create this movie. All the people that say any different must have had a really bad day when you saw it, go see it again maybe you can pay attention this time. If only everyone could be as creative as James Cameron!

It quite simply is a masterpiece. Despite the length it leaves you wanting more. It is a powerful movie with equally powerful messages. I hope they come out with an edited version that can be used in the classroom to teach from.

I've seen this movie twice... though it was never 3D. Kind of want to go, but I dont think I could sit and watch it the entire time. I like the pause button :P Anyways this movie is a MUST SEE... the ratings don't lie for this movie... Go see it, just don't drink alot of water or eat before the show (or during) you don't want to miss a single moment.

Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, and Wizard of Oz have all the ingredients: great story, great script, dialogue, great actors, and the director. Here all we have is a lot of special effect but nothing else.

I saw this movie before 2009 ended so I'm a little late but I have my own two cents to say about this movie. I did not enjoy this movie story wise, charater wise but of course the CGI was perfect. The story is reused from tons of other movies, the charaters are one-dimensional and boring and in a previous review I read it seemed that the person really laughed at the over exageration the military personel but I found them to be boring. Now the big stars of the movie the Na'Vi, I did not mind that they were practilly 8 feet high like basket-ball players and it was easy for me suspend my disbelief for the magical world of Pandora but my main beef is that I can't believe their literal connection with nature, I'm sorry but I cannot belive in USB key hair that they can plug in their animals and trees. Also my main problem is the message that Cameron is saying that white people are the biggest *ssh*les in the world and we should feel bad for being born white, since I really hate when a movie feels that the audience is too dumb to get the message that the movie is trying to give, it makes me feel like I'm being insulted. So yeah I don't recommend this movie unless you have 3 hours to waste but of course for me the only other silver lining I can find with this movie is that when it's going to come out on dvd it might get a Rifftrax and it would make it more fun to watch.

The movie Avatar was a really great movie to go see with my family and is a movie for everyone to see. Personally I would rate this movie out of 10 a 9 on 10. This movie had many interesting action and dramatic parts that had me thinking even after the movie was over. Although the plot of the story could have been a little better, the graphics when watching in it 3-D were fantastic and so were the Avatar creatures! For a movie which was first created 8 years ago I would describe the movie Avatar, as a breath taking, extraordinary, and an awesome sci-fi movie.
