Great movie, and great acting. But it was nothing special, still worth a watch!

This movie gets a lot of bad press but it doesn't deserve it. I found it very entertaining with an important take home message about putting things into perspective and not ignoring your children or those things which are actually important. Scarlett Johanssen and Laura Linney give excellent performances, while Chris Evans is only really there for the ladies in the audience. Worth watching.

DVD: "Nanny Diaries (Full Screen)"
The nanny diaries would be a good movie for the whole family. It is for sure a must see.

Good movie... worth seeing as a chick flick. Read the reviews on here before going so didn't expect much, but I guess they're not the same for everyone! (did agree that the cute guy should have got more scenes though) Would recommend it!

Really so-so... I'd even say a "bah"... It was predictable and it lacked punch. Scarlet is pretty and played her part well, the kid is cute, but that's about it... A bit far-fetched too, if you ask me, the mean mother/employer, the womanizer husband etc. etc...

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Definitely Entertaining... loved Jessica Beil in it, especially when she goes off the deep end at the nanny cam!

I'm all for a cheesy romantic chick flick, but come on. Show me some more Chris Evans and maybe it would have been more enjoyable.

It was ok, I guess. Some parts so sad, like incredibly sad! The whole red umbrella thing was kinda weird and lame but other then that the acting was good! It wasn't all that funny but the story line held it's own! All in all it wasn't too bad.

This movie was very acceptable. My grand children thought it was very nice. They love Scarlet expecially ;)

I liked this movie, it was nothing grand and the plot might have been predictable, but it was fun and cute. The different cinematography and "diary" approach was neat.

I enjoyed watching this film while it was on, but afterwards all I felt was that it could have been better. I did like the ending though.

The first Scarlet Johansen movie that I've liked. Usually, I just want to punch her in the face.

Not really a comedy, the best parts are on the commercial. But... Scarlet Johansen's in it, so that makes up for it.

OMG this movie was horrible why the heck is this movie rated 7 out of 10!?!?!? It was such a stupid movie. No plot, poorly written... HORRIBLE!!! Do not waste your money on this movie!!! Worst movie in the world!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Very well done movie. Entertaining and intelligent at the same time, which is rare in the "regular run" movies these days.

A very heart felt movie. It just goes to show you that some rich people don't know what they are missing.

It's cute! Come on... who doesn't love a story about a little boy who gets very attached to his nanny. Yeah, there are some useless little parts, but nothing to make you say :oh god, it's bad... ! Scarlett is simply an incredable actress and it was fun to see Chris Evans play the gentlemen! Really, dont miss it :D.

An entertaining film offering a glimpse into the lives of New York's upper East side elite. A fascinating drama. Great performances.

Scarlett Johansson is, to me, a fine actor. I can understand why she would make films for Woody Allen, but this one? The film closes with a moralizing monologue undoubtedly scripted so you will have something to take home at the end of the evening. Otherwise, there's nothing.

Oh my god you people. I don't understand what you saw in this movie. Long pointless conversations or the very mundane humor?!?! I would give this movie -10 out of ten if I could, but you people dont let me. Worst movie in the history of chick flicks. Thank you, good night.

While the story was predictable I still found it somewhat enjoyable. Perhaps because I work with children, and found the parents child rearing skills absolutely nauseating, I thoroughly enjoyed the last scene. Good for an easy look.

I like Scarlett which is why I went to watch that movie; however, I am so disppointed because the store is so predictable and boring.

So I took this job and it was like the most awful job because I was raising someone else's baby as a nanny, which is what all these poor, uneducated, [...] or immigrant women have to do so that they can't raise their own chidlren while the mothers of these rich brats run around shopping and going to meetings and getting their hair done and acting real snotty while their husbands try to get into my pantys. But like don't think that you wouldn't be interested in the movie because I'm not one of these poor, [...] uneducated, immigrant women in their 30's -- I'm just like you, a young, vibrant, [...] aspiring girl who just me Harvard Hottie, who (while he's as rich as the daddy who tried to fell me up) isn't like all those rich people -- he's DIFFERENT; and I'm only in the job for the summer and I'm going to tell them all what losers they are and they're going to realize I'm right and then I'LL GO INTO GRADUATE STUDY where I'll get MY MA and I'll probably marry Harvard Hottie and write a book about all these losers. I'm the white protagonist chick and ain't I grand. The movie is rich with spiritual deadness. Watching it is a sickening experience. Makes me think I landed on the wrong planet.

This really is a nasty little movie, driven by envy and only partially redeemed by Scarlett's endearing relationship with the little boy. I had hoped for some of the wit, polish and panache of 'The Devil Wears Prada' but the leads do not have the chops of Hathaway and Streep. The ads promote The Nanny Diaries as an 'Intelligent Comedy'. It is neither intelligent nor comedic. It is spiteful. Paul Giamatti sets that tone well.

This movie was disappointing, chuck full of stereotypes, the bitchy rich ladies, the bratty little boy, the cheating husband/secretary, the handsome neighbour and his ignorant friends the best girlfriend/confidant etc. etc, etc. Blah blah blah the only good act was the nurse motherat kliches c.

After spending 10 days in New York, my husband and I were amazed at the number of nannies pushing strollers throughout the city. I even spoke to a few in Central park who discussed their jobs. I then read the Nanny Diaries and immediately saw the movie. It was true to form. Indeed, this is not only a good movie, but it also tells an underlying story of who the privileged upper-class delagate their responsibilites to others.

The ending was tolerable... But the rest was so slow and just seemed irritating with how all of the characters were. If I didn't have to drive my friends home, I would've walked out of the theatre before the movie was done. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're REALLY into chick flicks.

First of all this is NOT a comedy! There's maybe 2 funny parts in this movie and when you see people cry during a movie, you're not watching a comedy! This was more of a drama, a very boring one. The only reason I'm not giving it a 2/10 is because of Paul Giamatti's good acting.
