This is probably my favourite movie of all time. The story is fascinating and the characters real as the hunt is on to find John Doe, a serial killer. Performances are great all around, but Kevin Spacey is brilliant.

Outstanding thriller movie, a must see. Pitt and Freeman are excellent together.

Every aspect of this movie was perfect. Writing, acting, directing. The non-hollywood type ending is what gave it the 10/10. Took a lot of guts to put in such a disturbing ending.

Brad Pitts best movie and the best movie of 1995. If you like crime/mystery/thriller movies like I do you will love this one.

The best murder movie ever made. For me it is equal to silence of the lambs because I enjoyed both of them.

I love this movie. Very interesting, fascinating how they've illustrated how seven deadly sins can be portrayed by an unknown killer.

Incredible movie. Every actor was fantastic. The writing was masterful, as was the direction. It was a totally stressful experience, totally capturing the audience and suspending our disbelief. A great suspense film. Not recommended for those who want to feel good from a movie.

Even if we could use decimals, I would give it a 10, as in 100%. With incredable acting (especially by Spacey and Freeman) and a truly gripping, thrilling story with one of the tensest endings of all time, it is no wonder why this movie is hailed. Top All Time: #10.

The best movie I have ever watched, it was sick, it had me on the edge of my seat for the entire ride, and the ending is the most shocking ending you could ever dream up, Morgan Freeman quickly became my favorite actor after this one.

This movie is one of those movies that gets your heart racing and it continues to race far after leaving the theatre. It's great for those of you who like suspence.

I absolutely love this movie! The story, plot, and ending are genius. I hold this movie as one of my all-time favorites. I am even taking a Chaucer class right now because of it. Very impressive!!!

I have seen "Seven" and it is one of the best films I have ever seen. I really like it. I have seen it five times and I would like to see it again and again. Every time I see it is better (I like it more) That's great!!!

David Fincher seems interested in the type of movies done by some German movie directors leading up to the period of Nazism. In some of Fritz Lang's films, for example, like m'or Dr. Mabuse, characters of abnormal personality without human feelings, are able to act out their morbid fantasies. Kevin Spacey's role is exactly like this, and appears to favor and apologize for political evil. I have a nasty reaction to Se7en.

Seven is a amazing but dark movie showing the not so nice side of humans which in itself make people just look at the movie and say it is "thrash, filth, garbage" and so on but they have obviously missed the point of the film. I often find myself interested in the dark side of man and seeing how it plays out and this movie of course was to my liking. Man is not perfect, far from it. Even if you're not doing one of the 7 deadly sins allowing them to go on as if they are nothing is sometimes just as bad...

This movie is a pillar amongst movies. Its satirical overview of society is flawless and its use of literary symbolism is incredible. For those who say this movie boasts no intellectuality, I think you should watch it again. It's references to Dante's Inferno, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Milton's Paradise Lost... well, I think I made my point.

It's the best movie I saw. In the beginning I didn't understand. But in the final, I felt like I were mills. If you were Mills? Would you shoot or not?

Excellent film, one of the films that would stand beyond time. The story line is dramatic, and in a way acts as a reflection of the world today. What would you do if you were Mills? Shoot Doe or bring him to justice of the law?

I didn't know if Seven was gonna be a really good movie, but while you watch it, it gets intense and makes you think, if you like an intense movie this is the one to see. I usually don't like Brad Pitt movie's but I loved him in this. Seven is one of my favorite movies and I'd give it a 10.

This is a movie that basically states that mankind is brutal, ignorant, and driven to destriction. The best humans in the movie wind up dead, or their talents wasted on revenge, and garbage collecting. Full of abject horror and sadism. Not a pretty picture. To the extent that you believe that this view is valid, you will like the message of the movie. I myself wade through the bowels of human ignorance on a regular basis, fighting for individual liberty. As I petition my government for a redress of legitimate grievances, I see the public face, day in and day out. While I recognize that there are good, honest, people (libertarians) out there, they are few and far between. The filming is carefully done, and consistent in its high quality. The acting is solid, and contributes to the dark message of the movie. If you don't like to see well-executed, (though negative and hateful) messages, you might want to avoid it.

This movie is about hating human from his guilts and his scaring from its results. That's a very illectuall movie.

I truly felt DIRTY after watching "Seven", and I would never have sat through it all unless a date had dragged me to see it (she liked Brad Pitt -- but there's no sexy leading-man stuff in this sicko piece of crap, believe me...) The actors are of course great within the limits of their roles (which are severely limited) , the cinematography is OK (if you can swallow an American city where it never stops raining -- where exactly *is* this movie set, the Amazon?) , but the subject matter is just plain creepy, almost to a painful degree. I have my serious doubts about the normalcy of *anyone* who thinks this descent into perversion and sadism is either art or a good film. A total waste of celluloid, and I wish I could erase its images from my mind. So much evil! And I'm not the kind of person who usually uses the word "evil". But in this case it fits. Trash.

In first I couldn't tell but when I saw and other triller movies I found myself saying good but not like "seven". so now I can say that it is a pattern for other thriller movies.

Great movie! I'm usually a little whimp when it comes to scary movies but I thought id give it a chance and im glad I did cause it was awesome! I liked seeing Spacey in a small role that was kind creepy, he was good at it. It's a clever, creepy thriller that will make you think, but in the good way of course ;)

Great Movie! Any director can make you jump, but Se7en feels evil and puts a chill in you. I am still trying to figure out how the did it. Great musical score, especially the remix of NIN "Closer" Excellent job from Kevin Spacey. He really made his carear that year between this and The Usual Suspects.
