Just a small snapshot in time, I felt like the Band's Visit was realistic in how much can be learned, revealed, known, in a short space of time. Loved the the lingering camera shots. An indie film buff's must-see!

A humane, funny, carefully observed character study of an Egyptian band in the Israeli outback. With seemingly very little to work with, the movie creates a wholly believable and somehow very endearing cast of characters, without relying on sentimentality or cheap emotional tricks. Almost certainly will be one of the best movies of the year.

Clean, easy, funny, sad, excellent acting, loved the story! You leave the theatre happy, not frustrated, angry or agressive!

Funny, but not to funny, sentimental, but not to sentimental and sweet, but not to sweet. Good acting in general. The closest in theme that comes to mind is 'Lost in Translation'. Worth seeing, but definitely a repertoire movie. A maximum of 7½.
