I turned on IFC to 'Trixie' as background noise but was quickly turned back around to watch it intently. Trixie is a lovable character as were most in the movie, once you got to know them. I may just buy this one.

Stumbled across "Trixie" after it was underway and couldn't believe my ears, and eyes. Ended up laughing mself silly, as the saying goes; Trixie would have said it much funnier. The plot's lousy, the editing leaves a lot to be desired -- but the writing's funny, and the actors are super... if you like comedy. It's not Monty Python, but did remind me of "Airplane" and some of the other Zucker sillyness. It was good.

It's really great--clever plot, clever characters. Emily Watson is amazing. If you're in the mood for a bland blockbuster, this ain't it. But if you want to see a movie that's original and really cool, check it out.

I LOVED Trixie!!! I love malapropisms and mixed-metaphors, so when Trixie started talking I grabbed a pen and paper to jot down the loopy things she said. I quickly realized that EVERYTHING she was going to say was something I'd write down. I need the script! {g} Actually, I'll probably wind up buying the movie. It may not be an "A-movie, " but critiques be damned; I enjoyed it tremendously.
