Sure there are obvious similarities to "A Christmas Carol" in this movie, but also, a touch of "It's A Wonderful Life" sans Jimmy Stewart. But Nicholas Cage gives his usual brilliant performance as a man poised on the brink of geeky sophistication. Tea Leoni is charming. It is meant to tug at your heartstrings & it does. What if you had said yes instead of no? Aah, so many questions, so many regrets, so much hope.
