Although I have always liked Eddie Murphy I'm really enjoying these Dr. Dolittle films. Funny on many levels, for both adults and children, this movie gives you everything you want and more. Archie the bear is fantastic (Steve Kahn is thoroughly amusing); as always, Lucky ("hey that works on two levels") the dog (the grandiose talent of Norm McDonald) as well as all the other fabulous voice talents. But as always, Mr. Murphy rules the show, smart, clever, cute and he can talk to animals, what more could you ask for? And I can tell you, these shows stand up on repeated viewing which I can not say about many films... Really. From ages 3-103 this film gives and gives so go get it. How 'bout that godbeaver? Dreadfully clever.
