A not-so subtle comedy that is both sad and joyous in the same moment in time, a true chunk of life. And I'm sure we've all asked the question, at the most unfortunate second of our lives, is this it, is this as good as it gets? Then something happens, something simple, or something strange or something so complex you simply can't explain which makes you glad this is as good as it gets. Jack Nicholson is... Jack Nicholson and that's more than enough. Helen Hunt is charming, as always. Greg Kinnear is handsome, sophisticated and cuddly as is Cuba Gooding Jr. (show me the art! ). And of course, dogs always steal the show! A must see.
