Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker do the best they possibly could with a somewhat lame script. They are both brilliantly funny, as always. You can't help but laugh - a lot. However, it's not nearly as good as the first one. Both the plot and the comedy seemed a bit more forced, more artificial, the jokes don't seem to fit in to the story as naturally as they did in the first. Despite the fact that I laughed a lot, on the whole I'd have to say it's a sad attempt to imitate the first one which generally falls flat.
