This movie is action-packed and entertaining. Of course, it's not meant to be a brain twister; that's not what a martial arts film is all about. The fighting scenes in the film are the result of human skill rather than visual cinematronics. When you see Jet Li take on a villain, you can believe it, unlike the phoney crap you see in films like "Tomb Raider". I definitely would recommend this film to anyone with a taste for action and the martial arts. The acting may not get an academy award, but Luc Besson does a good job of compensating for any dramatic flaws with good directing and experience. Furthermore, the film had a decent budget put into it. The stunts are excellent and the sets are well arranged. This is an excellent martial arts film that finally does not have the vein persona of Jean Claude Van Damme in it. What a relief! It's definitely not meant for kids or the faint-of-heart, but it is meant for those who want to go to the movies and just be entertained for two hours.

For those who like great action movies with a lot of martial arts, but shy away at the site of blood, DEAL WITH IT!!! This movie was awesome. The stroy line is a bit too predictable, but which one isn't? Fresh stories are rare, and seldom appreciated for their uniqueness, so film makers give us the same template, with emphasis on presentation. This flic has that said presentation.

This movie totally SUCKED!!! The story starts out making you think it's gonna lead to something and... Everything is implausible, from the bad guys to the nonsensical plot. It's almost as if grade school students wrote the movie. Characters make unrealistic decisions, you have lame symbolism (like the turtle and the hare) and the whole world around this crap-fest of a movie is unbelievable. As some have stated before, the bad guys pump lead into crowds of innocent bystanders and yet nothing happens to them. The bad guys in question are (yes I'll reveal the movie's content because I have little respect for it) freaking diplomats (or cops, I'm not quite sure... That's how bad this movie is)! They run around shooting everybody on the streets, kidnap little girls, run prostitution rings and supply junkies with drugs, yet when it comes to clearing Jet-Li’s name, nobody assumes it's the bad guys – they somehow have a clear record. The fight scenes are ok, and most moviegoers will eventually have to just let go of the plot and wait for the next fight scene. The problem is that almost ALL the fight scenes have been shown on TV. They showed the fight against the blond guy on Jay Leno, from the moment Jet-li stepped into the room to the moment he cracked the guy's neck. THAT WAS THE WHOLE FIGHT! There was still the other bigger blond guy a bit after, BUT THAT WAS THE WHOLE FIGHT RIGHT THERE ON NATIONAL TV!!! What's worse is that that particular fight was the best one and you didn't even have to pay money to SEE IT!!! Just watch a rerun of the Tonight Show when Je-Li is there and you'll save 8 bucks. I feel sorry for Bridget Fonda. Poor girl... Such a talented actress... What in the world is she doing in that movie? How such a piece of **** can pass through the corporate chain of command is beyond me. Didn't anybody stop while making this movie and said "Wait a minute, this sucks. It's gonna make all of us look bad"?

If you like action, it's a must. If you like martial art, it's a do not miss. I saw it twice. The storie is good if you compare with other martial art movies, the acting is good. Remember its an action pack martial art police storie. It's serious stuff. Jet Li is in.

Disappointing movie. Catch it if you're a Jet Li fan because the action sequences are great. But unfortunately the other three quarters of the flick is plot and it is paper-thin and simplistic. After the first 15 minutes you can feel how the rest of the movie will go. Chop Punch Kick Talk Talk Talk Snore Snore Snore Kick Leap Punch and so on... Bridget Fonda is totally wasted here as the cliched good-hearted prostitute and wouldn't have been missed. Jet Li is fine but his character shows no range of emotions. And the bad guys seems to be allowed to shoot up Paris and nobody cares. Don't miss the action scenes because that's all there is to the Kiss of the Dragon.

Yep, it's a martial arts movie. It's nice to see one without all that Matrix wizardry that is so overused in movies now. This is my first encounter with Jet Li, however I will check him out again, just for his fighting talent. As for the show, hey, it's a martial arts movie, they never make sense to me. I went to see it really for Tcheky Karyo, I swear, he really has talent, However you won't see it here.

Weak storyline but great kung fu fighting... With somewhat exagerations. Jet Li kicks the hell out an entire class of black belt. Right... My only explanation, Paris have to be really bad in Kung Fu.

Typical Western-flavored Kung-Fu movie. The director simply doesn't know how to shoot a Kung-Fu movie. A lots of fights, but few of them makes sense. All that is worth seeing in this movie is Jet Li's performance. If you want to see REALLY Kung-Fu movie, watch the Jet Li's first movie, "Shaolin Temple". It's 100 times better than this movie.

I wasn't expecting any thing like this when I went to see this movie!! This is no Jackie Chan funny stuff! It's seriously some crazy stuff! If you like blood and some gore I recommend it!! It was good, but it came as a big surprise to me when I saw all the blood and other crazy s***!! Woahhhhhh.

I went to see the movie on Tuesday. I think that the movie is worth $5.00 and maybe $7.00 but I wouldn't pay more to see it. The storyline is somewhat stupid. It is an action movie with lots of kung-fu fight scenes. If you're expecting something else, don't go see it. If all you're expecting is a good action movie with lots of kung-fu fight scenes, I recommend seeing this movie on a Tuesday/Wednesday.

If you're a person who loves serious kung fu fighting scenes and not bullshit comedy fighting like Jacky Chan's films, then go see this movie. Storyline was okay and with the bad guys that Jet Li faced in this movie, they could make a video game out of this.

Entertaining with good fight scenes. Not the best kung-fu movie ever but still quite good. If you don't expect much from the story line of a good kung-fu movie you will be very pleased with this one. It was great to see Jet Li and I know we would like to see more of him.
