Did not think this deserved to be advertised as a comedy. Too few jokes. No one in the audience laughed out loud during entire show. Too slow. Lead actor was good but had nothing to work with. Thought the doctor was good. Have seen the no soul idea before. Only difference this time is he goes to Russia to get it back.

Cold Souls goes where many have gone before: most fail, some survive, and fewer still prosper. Cold Souls falls in the failing category. It feels like Sophie Barthes, writer and director, watched I HEART Huckabees, Being John Malkovich, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and then tried to sell those stories half heartedly to the Russian Mafia or deconstruct them into a first year film school project. It wasn't all bad, there was a part with a rabbit.

This is not your typical Hollywood movie; it actually has depth and is very thought-provoking. I enjoyed it tremendously and found it very refreshing. Paul Giamatti is brilliant. Highly recommended.

SORRY, I do appreciate "intelligent" movies but this one... aside from a few good jokes did not impress me very much. At times, (unless I'm getting deaf)even the elocution seemed faint and uselessly esoteric. The ending of the film seems to have been forgotten or left aside as irrelevant. Still, Paul Giamatti is a terrific actor and fully justifies the rate (5)

Paul Giamatti gives an outstanding performance! This is film is not for everyone but I found it entertaining, deeply provocative and insightful. The movie has many layers of meaning and is the type of film you can talk about for days. Although very funny at times, Cold Souls will have you view your life quite differently after you leave the theatre. Go see it!

Outstanding. Utterly original. Terrific cast, nuanced acting, gorgeous visuals, superb wit. A thoroughly enjoyable cinematic experience.

It had it's funny moments. The premise was different. It seemed to end badly because they wanted to work in a joke.
