This movie ROCKS. The only reason that this movie was criticized was because it was made in germany instead of hollywood, had a techno based soundtrack, and was made for under ten million while most hollywood films are made for tens of millions. It was bias pure and simple. Unless you have a very short attention span or go into the movie with no interest, the plot is easy to follow (but it has many twists) Watch it when you're willing to devote your time to it, not just because you have nothing better to do.

I have seen the movie and it was great. I am a big fan of the Resident Evil games so, I could not wait to see this movies. I think the sequal to this great movie is going to be better than the first. I would like to know if anybody would know when the sequal is planned to come out?

This movie was great. I thought it was a little scarey but it really wasnt. And I liked it because it had some good actors and actress's. It was worth the money and the wait. It was kind of like the night of the living dead.

Never eat while watching resident evil!! Lol... I learned my lesson... other than that, I think the movie was awesome... I've played resident evil 2 before seeing this movie... I think the movie is grosser than the game though...

AMAZING!!!! I LOVED IT from the start to the end. I jumped out of my seat a lot of times! Milla was georgous and I liked Michelle too. I didn't know her before this movie. She's cool. Anyway, this definitely is my favorite movie! All I like is in there, the commando thing with the guns, the zombies, the dogs which I loved the scene when Alice runs on the wall and kicks the face of a jumping dog, that's what I call action! I found the mood pretty scary. The quiet of it was great. I liked the futuristic set and the licker was gross, especially when he mutates! It was nice!! The zombies were pretty realistic. They're my favorite kind of monsters actually. I like the way they walk and look at you. So anyway, I saw this movie once at the cinema, and the day it came out on DVD, I rented it and watched it five times in two days. I also watched it with the audio commentaries. It's pretty funny! (I will of course buy the DVD as soon as I get the money!) I saw the movie before playing the game, and the game is pretty sick too. So, I enjoyed every second of the movie and recommend it to everyone. (Great job Paul, can't wait to see RE 2!) I can definitely say "I am a Resident Evil fan!!! " (This come's from a 14 year-old girl)

Okay, I am a bit behind the 8-ball on this one, but I just saw "Resident Evil" last night, BY MYSELF and it scared the *heck* outta me! - it reminded me of "Event Horizon". Mila Jovovich is excellent and Michelle Rodriguez is great to watch (I recently saw "The Fast And The Furious") - she doesn't even need the zombie make-up with they way she does those eyes and facial expressions, lol - and that's a compliment! (she can be attractive, it depends what way you look at her) I found some of the parts a little bit funny (but maybe that's because I was trying to comfort myself) and my favourite part is when the swat team (or whatever they're called) get sliced by those burning rays in the Queen's chamber; never seen anything like it before - and the dogs - wouldn't want to come across a Doberman now. Action and suspense - it had my heart racing 'till the end. It's probably my second favourite movie after "The Matrix" now; can't wait for the sequel of both. I'm thinking of buying them on DVD! As soon as I get a DVD player! Lol A must see. One last thing about "Resident Evil"... even though it is a video game and movie, it's thought-provoking on the subjects of the future, governments, conspiracies and scientific institutions that house viruses for research and experimentation. To think that they could so easily introduce them into our environment... Scary.

Resident Evil is THE best movie/game ever made and I dont admit anyone who says a bad word about it cuz anyone who does has obviosly not played the game so if you dont know the true story line then dont waste your breath... For all you fans of Resident Evil out there, together we can let the hole world know how amazing the Resident Evil world realy is.

This was one great movie! They could have done a little better on the story line but other than that it was awesome. It was horrifying at some parts and suspensful at some. My dad even enjoyed it and he is 42, so it's not just the teenagers that watched and enjoyed the movie. Its worth seeing. Im going to get the movie when it comes out which is today. All my friends that went loved the movie also. I believe that the sequel will be much better because this one like someone said before is telling how the virus gets into Raccoon City and Resident Evil 2 movie will possibly have some of the real bad guys like Tyrant, Nemisis, more lickers, a lot of zombies, zombie dogs, acid spitting plants, and whatever other enemies I forgot to mention. RE 2 will probably have Leon and Claire in it and probably be at the mansion like in the game series Resident Evil: Director's Cut or could be the police station in Resident Evil 2. Well whatever it is the next Resident Evil movie should be a lot better because it will take place in the time period that we are familiar with in the game (mansion, Police station, etc) I have played the Resident Evil series and enjoyed about each one I have played. But this is all just my opinion. I recommend watching it sometime, Resident Evil fan or not. It's a great movie.

WOW, I loved it I was literally falling out of my seat on some of the suspense parts, my cousins (12 and 13) were so scared that I thought that they were going to pee in their pants. I hadn't played the game but ever since I saw the movie I've been hooked on the Resident Evil games.

The movie was very extravagant. The special effects were wonderful. At first the movie was going towards a sci-fi robbery type of show until a twist came about and the movie did a ninety degree turn in and had everyone in the theatre nearly sitting on the edge of their seats. Left in suspense I was only feening for more in hopes that it was not going to end the way it did. But I guess I have to wait on the sequel. I love these movies because it takes us to a new level far beyond our reach.

I did, man it was awesome I went to see it 4 times. I can't wait for the 2nd one to come out. I waited 4 damn years to see that movie! Cause of delays and stuff. So when I first went to see it I was hoping I would not be dissapointed. And I wasn't the special effects were mind blowing. I reccomend this to anyone who has an interest in scaring the hell out of themselves. GO SEE IT!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED! This is coming from a 22 year old.

It starts with video game. After ending, it has sequel. Alice kills zombies and dodges them XD. I cant wait to see Resident Evil 2. Maybe. Maybe she can encounter Claire and Leon... and so on.

AWFUL movie. I went into this film with high expectations and came out thoroughly disappointed. I should have expected that. Awful acting, horrible plot, the CGI was mediocre, and too many 'HuH' moments. It set up the sequel nicely. Hopefully, if there is one, they might do a better job.

If you know what you're in for (it's not oscar material people... think Mortal Kombat) then you can enjoy the movie. If you have played the game at all, go see it. This was definitely fun, a no-brainer, but fun!!

The only reson I went to see this movie in theaters is because my younger brother wanted us to take him to see it for his birthday. I walked in waiting to be disappointed. I have played the game before and I remember liking it and thinking it was very different. When I saw this movie I was actually pleasantly surprised at how true it stayed to the game and its characters. If you just want to see a really good horror film, this one can wait for video. If you like the game and want to see what they did with the movie, this was pretty good. The acting is kind of cheesy and the story is a little thin but really, what else did you really want to get out of a movie written after a video game? I liked this better than Tomb Raider.

It is the best movie ever made! :) It always keeps you on the edge of your seat and contains your full attention. The animation was excellent and the zombies and creatures were really well done with perfect details. I love the Resident Evil movie as well as all of the games and I can't wait for the second movie to come out! I recommend people to go see this movie - you won't regret it!

I really liked this movie, ok lots of people seem to be bitching but look at the age and if they happen to say the played all the games. I'm sorry if the older group din't relate to the type of movie but you can't say it sucks just cus it's not your generation. Then the players well I don't know I didn't play the game but I loved the movie so SORRY!!! By the way, most people I talk to didn't understand the movie so before saying it sucks how about you try paying ATTENTION for once, or ask someone who has played the game...

Amazing, it's the best zombie film I've seen and I have seen nearly all romeroas work and a lot of cheap rip offs too but this is a quality zombie film but unless you have played the games you probably will get lost on the plot. The only thing that was wrong was the sound.
