OK first of all I saw the movie. It was a good movie. I am a big fan of the resident evil series and I want to say to you all that the real point of the movie was to tell the people the story of resident evil. They were trying to tell the viewers about the t virus and how it escapes into Racoon city. That's why Milla is in the city at the end. There going to be coming out with probaly 2 more sequels. Plus it was a reallly good movie. Even if your not a resident evil fan this was a good movie. You people who said it sucked and didn't follow the story of resident evil, you're wrong. It did and I believe it did a good job at it.

I don't play the game but this movie sucked! I liked the actors and all, but the stroyline was going no where... not even a good ending! WHATEVER! Don't waste your money on this film...

That movie amazing. It's a really good movie. If you had play the game, you'll love this movie. The end is so great, if you have play the game, you'll understand. The special effects are good, sound is good. You gotta see this movie!

If you are loaded and have money to waste, then by all means go and see Resident Evil. I believe it's one of the badest scenario made in the whole history of movie making. The only good part, was the special effects, they were not bad. The end : horrible. All the story was so "without". I don't think it deserves the value people give out to it..

This is one great film! Michelle's plays her role as a tough woman so well that I almost forgot Mila. The story is a little too simple with few turning points. It is not that scary though, but it's definitely worth a look.

This movie is awesome! The story is great, closely related to the game. The make up of the zombie is very scary!! Creating a suspense I wasn't prepare for. The environment was nicely setup too, and they even brought the umbella train from the game! This movie is a must see!!!

I loved the videogame, so I was hestitant about seeing the movie, but it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. The music was great, the zombies and setting were really well done, and Milla was quite good. The ambiance of the film was fun, and so many people in the theatre were jumping in their seats during the scary scenes, so I think it went over well with everyone there. I want to see a sequel!

Heavy action with a horror background!!! Wow! What a feel it was, the storyline comes completely from the video game... Players will remember the details and hints at the gameplay throughout the movie!! The music is complementing the pictures very nicely... The feel of horror is accentuated by sudden sounds and they are quite loud! All the actors were good and I will be waiting for the sequel!!!

The trend of making video games into movies continues. This wasn't as bad as Mario Bros. The Movie, but one would expect that it be a million times better considering the video game storyline was actually good. Special effects were well done. Mila is still a super exotic looking woman (she was great in The Messenger and Fifth Element) The writing was good, not too tacky, and the action was entertaining. This movie didn't break any ground except that it was much better than previous attempts at making "video games gone Hollywood" type movies. It is worth a watch IF you have seen all the other movies in theatres. Nothing in this movie leads me to believe that it will be memorable for any particular reason... in fact I have already forgotten most of it. (P. S. - The video games were quite fun.)

Been a fan of the game, I found the movie astoundingly truthful to the game. It really represents the terrible places they are adventuring into as we did in the game. I can't wait for the second to follow. As a fam, I give the movie a 9/10; if I didn't know the game, it would get 7/10.

This movie was absolutely horrifying, and not because it was scary, but because it was one of the worst movies ever made. Its attempt at horror was nothing more than making overly loud noises to startle the audience. The story line made absolutely no sense, as there was no point to their “so called mission”. The outcome of the story would have been exactly the same if the characters were sitting around drinking beers in a bar for the entire movie. It was horrible, and anyone who says otherwise is a complete half-wit.

Man, this is a great movie. It's freaky but great. If you like to see movies where just about everyone in it is dead, where people get cut up into little pieces, where people are missing body parts, where people get eaten, where dogs are inside out, then this is the movie to see. But beware, IT'S NASTY AND FREAKY!!!!!

I didn't like this movie at all, I expected so much more... The plot was almost non-existant, Corp. Makes secret monsters... kill monsters... escape. C'mon, it was poor and boring... and what was the main char's name again? They might've said it twice. The only one with any char. development was Rayne, or whatever, and that was because you could feel bad when she died. Through in the complimentary senseless lesbian tension between the 2 chicks, and it just adds to the pointless gratification of this movie. But, if you *like* pointless movie with loads of action, well check it out.

Being a fan of the games I was extremely skeptical going in BUT I must admit it was pretty good. Super sound track and non-stop action. My only beef is the editing. There was a lack of continuity too many times to ignore. Many scenes were great on their own but made little sense story wise strung together..

First off, no need to be a Resident Evil fan to enjoy this movie, but I'm sure it helps. I personnally don't like the game that much. Also, on a side note, I don't know if anybody thought of this, but when they start describing the Umbrella Corporation, you could almost swear they were talking about Microsoft. Makes me wonder on what Bill Gates could be hiding. :) But anyway, this movie was awesome. The only flaw was the sound effects, which were at times too loud and incoherent. The music in the background really rocked though. It's one of the VERY FEW movies that made me jump out of my seat at various occasions. I also found that some scenes seemed like a revamped version of the Micheal Jackson video "Thriller". I found that amusing. If you just like watching a good thriller now and then, this movie is really a MUST SEE!!!

I am a fan of the Playstation game and usually when they make a movie out of a game, it's not very good. In this case the producer of the movie did an incredible job putting both game situation and new situation. Excellent movie a must see to all you Resident Evil fans out there.

The movie was OK, but it's not worth paying 10$ for it. Maybe the sound effects, the music and the chick playing were impressive, but besides that, I wouldn't try commenting on the other details. I don't recommend this movie to anyone since it lasts so short. Wait until it comes out in a video store, or even wait till it's shown out on television. Blade 2 is a much better movie.

Well, they use the expression "Déjà Vu" in that movie, and that's exactly what that movie is. Absolutely nothing new, the actors are so-so, and the plot is absurd. If you think you have to see it at least wait until it plays on TV.

I think this movie is so so, it is not as good as I thought. The movie is a bit messy, the parts are not connected very well. It is not very scary, the effect of the sound made me jump a few times, which is a bit disappointing.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! If you are not a Resident Evil gamer than expect less. If you are you will want to see Resident Evil 2, 3, 4 etc... I felt like I didn't want to leave the theatre as I was waiting for it to continue. Great special effects! My only complaint is that there needed more suspense - I know it sounds strange, but it seemed to lag a bit in parts - I still give it top marks.

Silence. All you people who are cracking down on the plot, you wouldn't understand it unless you are truly a Resident Evil fan... If you have played all of the games, you would understand it. I am giving this movie a 10/10 but I am still going to complain about the sound. They kinda did over do it with the loud music. Acting is what could be expected from the unexperienced (and not to mention they are never in the main role, minus Mila) The thing that I liked about this movie was that they kind of made you go see it, for they only showed enough in the trailor to catch your attention and get you asking what is happening in that part etc... anyway, this movie is a MUST SEE for all true Resident Evil fans. And if you have never played the game, go, but be expected to be lost in some of the parts. But, this is just an opinion, so dont go entirely on whawt I say. Go see it for yourself and comment on it yourself. So goodluck with your movie and email me if you want to vent about it or anything else :D (15yrs old)

I have played the video game. I accepted the Movie to come out for a long time. Now the time is here. My girlfriend, my friend, and I went to see it. It was a Thriller ride for me and my friends! I have a predication that there will be a part 2 of this movie, because at the end close out with not a happy ending. If I was to rate this movie out of a ten I would give it a ten.

This movie was very good but it had WAY too much violence for nothing. They really fool you with the scary scenes. You always think that everything is alright and then all of a sudden, BOOM, some very scary and jumpy thing pops up. They did a great job with the Zombies because they look so realistic. But as usual the ending was so stupid. You can tell that they made the ending like that so they can make a Resident Evil 2. But all in all it is a good movie.

1. The red queen did not infect the virus into the air,.. she cleaned it out of the air. In effect it killed everybody at the same time. That's why the team was able to survive in the hive. And if you had any brains you would know that this was supposed to be a HARDCORE zombie,. weather or not you play the game,.. this is not a sandra bullock film,.. did you see julia roberts and richard gere in the title,.. hell no, who cares about character plots. It's the story plot wich made sense to me,.. and it was just harcore zombie action,.. how long has it been since the last zombie movie,.. 15 years? WE NEEDED THIS THANK YOU.

Movie was pretty good. In order to understand the movie your gonna have to play the game other wise you will not understand the meaning of it. Lots of action slow to start but as it got going it was pretty intense. I hope there will be a RE2 they left it wide open, I hope if they will make it, it will have more character death and gory scense like the game was, I can only hope. Good move play the game first then watch it.
